In truth, Nayru never knew about Devildom and its residents until now. The young songstress wasn’t given a chance to let it all sink in as she was suddenly taken to the world of Demons in hopes of sending a good word to her world, the Human World, for them. It was all very confusing, really. She had so many questions, and while a few were answered, the rest would unfortunately have to be saved for a later date.

When she was told that she would be assigned an escort, Nayru desperately wanted to protest but found herself keeping quiet. It occurred to her that she knew nothing about this world, so it made sense that she would need someone to guide her. When she was given to a man known as Mammon, the Sin of Greed, the silver-haired maiden could immediately tell that he was uncomfortable with the idea of keeping an eye on her.

He had made it abundantly clear that he wanted nothing to do with her, causing a frown to grace her lips. As she followed him to his room, bright blue eyes widened as the white-haired demon turned to face her with arms crossed over his chest. Did he just...call himself ‘the great Mammon’? Someone sure had a giant ego, she thought to herself. “Yes...?” She let out, blinking a few times as she felt her shoulders tense up and her posture straightened.

She nodded furiously after he spoke, giving a soft yet uneasy smile. “O-Of course! I understand.”

     Mammon didn’t bother to hide his irritation, not when the human he was so gracefully tasked with keeping an eye on was just a few steps behind him. This was so unfair, beyond unfair, why couldn’t any of his brothers be put to the task? Why did he always have to be the one they dumped all the responsibility on and then mock him for not doing it correctly? It was beyond annoying, now what was he supposed to do? Watch them and follow them around like some lost pup? As if.

   He was quick to turn on his heels, arms folding tightly against the length of his chest with a huff. Usually he didn’t like to pull any lectures, not like Lucifer but he wanted to make a point before either of them dared to set foot in his room, not when he didn’t trust them not to touch any of his things.

Deirdre had never seen the appeal in alcohol, let alone felt the desire to consume it. However, last night was different. Stress had finally taken a toll on her, and despite trying to convince herself that drinking wasn’t the right option to get rid of all her troubles, she went to the nearest bar and did so anyway. The young woman was there alone, yet a familiar figure had decided to sit next to her and keep her company. She had run into Dabi on more than a couple of occasions, and she had already grown fond of him.

She couldn’t recall how many shots they had taken together, or how they got to her apartment complex. However, Deirdre did remember a kiss, one that she initiated, and the sound of laughter filling her eardrums. Everything else was hazy, yet it was a pleasant and satisfying blur. The next morning, she awoke to the sound of her phone alarm going off. A soft groan rumbled from her throat as she forced herself to open her eyes and turn off the blaring sound.

With a soft yawn, she slowly turned on her side to face the man she had spent the night with, causing her tired hazel eyes to widen and her face flushed a deep crimson. Memories of the other night came flooding back, causing her face and even the tips of her ears to burn. “G-Good morning...” She managed to let out, a sheepish smile gracing her lips as they locked eyes with one another.
