Do not fucking swallow pills without water (or any drink/liquid)!!!

It is not your special skill, you will end up burning your esophagus and very well might end up with a hernia, aka a HOLE in your esophagus. This can lead to issues with swallowing, GERD, apnea, nausea, etc. Yes, it might FEEL like the pill made it all the way down, but it could be dissolving (and burning) your throat along the way. Also when a pill DOES get noticeably stuck, it will burn to high heaven. Please don't fuck up your esophagus in order to save a few moments of time. Also, dry swallowing may cause choking or may make your medicine not work properly.

Signed, someone who dry swallowed their pills their whole life until they couldn't due to developing GERD, dysphagia, and a hiatal hernia. (Edit: While there isn't any evidence of dry swallowing causing a hernia, if you already have a small one, dry swallowing will make it worse over time).
