It might not be your case, but I didn't know anyone else to ask so lol.

I've been wondering, is it common for stancest artists to have a different account for their "proship" drawings so it won't affect their chances of growing in a mainstream sense?

For, some of the most famous Gravity Falls profiles might ship Stancest but won't make statements or explicit drawings to avoid harassment, but their drawings represent more than "brotherly" love, which seems pretty Stancest coded.

While I don’t know if a majority of Stancest shippers have alternate accounts, I can say that there are a few that do! I’ve seen people talk about creating alt blogs and accounts for Stancest, and I am one of the people who built a proship community separate to my general public account.

As a side note, it’s kinda funny when I look back and see the comparison between both of my accounts. My “main” is more a collection of my art throughout the years and the occasional selling of an adoptable or commission. It feels more of a formality than anything. So, when compared to my Weremick accounts, I find that they’re just so much fun to exist in. I’m free, I’m active, and I have an active personality and connection with others.

That’s just my experience, though! But I can assume that other people feel the same way. Making an alternative account to be artistically free and engaged while in touch with the general public on a main account is something that I encourage if you want to exist in both places.

There’s always the chance for harassment, but I live to express and make myself the happiest I can be. It’s only logical to believe that others may feel the same way.

I get a crazy amount of comments asking me why I'd write or ship something I wouldn't condone irl and it actually drives me insane.

Are people really holding every single character they write to their own morals?? Doesn't that make every character the same basic reflection of yourself?

Do people not appreciate the fun in writing a character nothing like yourself, in exploring dynamics just to see what would happen?
