These hashtags were the last drops. I'm gonna make a new album/book, and I will use a new and better bookbinding technique.

This is my first album which I made for order. It was hard to made, I thought all of time that that is not good enough. But it is ready now and I will sent it to world. That is big, fat and heavy and it is full of pictures.

Slower videos from the OFMD album, last part.

This video features some of my own favorites. For example, I like the way the heartstring turned out. It works exactly as it should.

I told once that I can't draw and that's why I make these albums/books.

So, I had a vision of a page with a lighthouse, waves and tentacles. The lighthouse required a lot of calculating, but it wasn't particularly hard to do, but I needed tentacles. I don't even know how long I practiced drawing them, maybe a few months. (Now I can draw tentacles, squids and krakens, they are the only things I can draw. Right now I practicing drawing other things because my next OFMD book needs them - yes, the next book is coming).

The lighthouse page was very slow to make, because first I had to learn how to draw and then I had to figure out how the tentacles work with the lighthouse. I like that page because it tells me that if I really want to, I'll learn.

Usually the easiest looking mechanisms are the hardest to do. In this book it is probably the page where Stede tells to Mary that he's in love with Ed. It's not difficult to get plates to move in opposite directions, but if you want to reveal something underneath it's a different story.

Slower videos from OFMD album part 2/3, because @random-red-ramblings asked for them.

These aren't my favorite pages, but I liked the campfire page before I put it on the album. This kind of binding is a reason why it doesn't work properly (the page doesn't open as flat as it should).

But it was a fun page to make. It was especially fun to make the campfire. I had no idea how to do it, so I just glued things together. If I did it today, I'd probably use a completely different mechanism, but for a first campfire, it's pretty fun.

@random-red-ramblings asked if I could post a slower video of my OFMD book here. It would be too long for here, so I made three videos - each video two pages from the book.

As I said before, this book is not my favorite. But this first video has one page I really like.

It's the page where Ed introduces Stede as Blackbeard. This page took a lot of time and was fun to do. Each plank on the wall is it's own individual piece, the window is "glass" (well, plastic, but still), the gold ornaments are made of molten metal powder, and there are two paintings on the wall.

hello!!! Hope you’re doing well. Was looking through your old vids of spirk. How many albums have you made so far? 🖖🏼

That's a good question. I'm not sure how to count them. I made my first album at spring 2020, I wanted to collect memories over the corona time and it sounded to good idea to collect them at the album. So it was first one, but there was not a lot of mechanisms in it.

The next one was a little Spirk album, well it is not little, but it was not so big as my albums now a days. There was more mechanismis, but not so much pop up elements. After that album I fell in love of pop up mechanisms, so everything after that has been more and more pop up's and harder and harder mechanisms. Now I know how they work and how to create them, and it is fun! And frustraiting.

I think that I had made maybe nine or ten pop up -albums, and they are more like books now a days. And there will be more. My next work will be snack, it's theme is Alice in Wonderland and I will be use old calenders and stuff like that - I'm not sure if I share that one here - of course, if people want to see something like that I can show it to you.

And after season 2 of Our Flag Means Death I will defenitely do a new album/book.

Oh, thank you! I still don't really like this one, it is not work properly - or the way I want it to work, but I hope that after season 2 I can make something better than this book. And of course I will show it to you all.

There is a reason for that, I do more and more pop up -book elements and lesser basic paper mechanisms. Because of that the binding of this book is not good. I know how to do it on future, but it was too late with this one - I need to build the pages in another way.

So, next one will be better. Maybe someone like to see this one too - so here we go.

I can't sell something like this, because it is not good enough. I couldn't live with myself if I sold something I wasn't happy with.

But sometimes I do sell my works - because I don´t have space all of them. I make papercraft things all the time, so I have them plenty. I can promise that I will make more OFMD books, maybe not right now but defenitly after season 2. And maybe they will be good enough for me and to sell.

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that you should be so, so proud of your ofmd book! I'm obsessed with it. It's beautiful and genuis and a technical marvel.

You might not feel that it's your best work and parts didn't turn out as you'd hoped, but to me it's just incredible. I know it's difficult when you create something, especially if you work on it for a long time, not to see all the flaws, but I don't see anything wrong. To me it's perfect💖

If you can stomach it I'd really love to see a slower video, or more photos of the pages!

Thanks for your nice words. I´m a bit of perfectionist and sometimes it makes things quite hard. I think that slower video will be too long to upload here, but maybe I can make many shorter and slower videos - page by page. There are a few pages I don´t like at all, but also pages full of details that might be nice to show.

Give me a few days and I will watch what I can do.

I´m a bit awestruck.

This album made me almost cry, because I was so disappointed about it. I almost threw it away. If I hadn't promised to post a video of it, it would probably be in the thrash by now.

And maybe it is not only because I don´t like the way how some pages work, I think that the main reason is that I love this show and I truly love these characters and it felt like if I had betrayed them - and thats why it feels like this is not good enough.

But! All of you make me feel better and maybe I will open this book again and try to see it as you see it.

Been a bit tricky with this one. I've rebuilt this page at least six times and it's still not very good, but I might not be able to start again.

I'm building the OFMD album, maybe about 80% of it has been done for ages, but the rest of it just doesn't seem to get done.

I was trying to get this done before the second season starts.

So the question. What's the title for the cover of this album? Blackbonnet, gentlebeard, Our Flag Means Death, something else?

Thanks for all your for the incredible feedback, I had no clue that so many people could like my way to do fan art. It feels really great.

There are few questions which repeat, so it might be easier if I put answers right here (I will answer every messages and questions, but this can be faster way to get answers).

When I made this one it take several months, but I had a corona and few other not so normal things. Usually one album/book took month or two and if I can focus only on making albums then it take three to six weeks. But yes, it is not fast work. It would be faster if I just repeat same album, but I don´t wont to do so. My neurodivergent-brain hate things that will remain same, so "no can do".

Yes, I can make another fandoms too, if they are not familiar to me I need information, pics and emotions. I can also make birthday, weddings and gift albums or empty albums (or whateves albums). I have made them to my friends as a gift, but they usually start to crying when they get gift and I´m better whit glue than tears so maybe it is not safe to do things like that to them. Maybe. ( @franzis-frantic-thoughts  yes, I would love to make yoyr wedding album, if you ever get married.)

I live in Europe. So currency which I speek is euro. Yes, I can sent them internationally, if the recipient pays the postage. I send these as book. I know how much the postages is to different countries, but I don´t know how much customs fees are.

At this album has six pages. Album with six pages cost something between 350-500€ (it depends how much I have to order pics and buy special papers), I can also made smaller albums. If you want album we sort out together what kind of album you want and I make a plan. When I have a time to start your album you pay me material cost (about 25 percent of the price of the album), you pay rest when the album is ready (plus postages). I will sent you updates when I make album and when it is ready I will sent you a video how to use the album (you propably don´t know how to use it without instructions).

And the question how to make something like this whitout going insane? I don´t know, it helps if you are already insane.

@memprime Hi, and thank you! I can do mcspirk album, actually it would be nice if I don´t have to cut Bones out all of the pictures. (I usually glue them/him to my notebook.)

I know that fandom - but not as well as spirk fandom. So if you have some favorite pictures and scenes I would like to know them - so you can get the best possible book/album.

What currency is the estimated price on your album post in? So I can convert it and have a better understanding. Also can you ship internationally, if customer pays? It's absolutely GORGEOUS and unlike anything I've ever seen.

I live in Europe and usually I mean euros which is almost same as USD. I can ship internationally, I have sort out how much is cost in different countries but I have no clue how much customs duty and taxes are in different countries. I will sent them as books (because they are books) and in Europe it means that you don´t need pay custom duty.
