Mark Evergreen Lawis, the man that just won't give up. His deep purple eyes perfectly reflect his seemingly boundless ego. Maybe not unstoppable, but most definitely one tough cookie.

Mark Lawis Backstory (again)

(sorry if this seems incoherent, this is like the 3rd time I'm retconning their backstories because they always suck in retrospect)

Mark Evergreen Lawis was born in San Perro, California, during May of 1992, to an unknown man who had been cut out long before he was born, and the esteemed Mary Lawis. He had only one sibling, his twin sister March. His family was incomprehensibly wealthy, as his grandfather was the great Donovan Alectrona, the CEO of the powerful Alectrona Corporation. Although her brother James was in line for the company, she still had it good. Mark, despite being a genius by all standards, was still an ambitious and rambunctious child, constantly getting into trouble and fighting other kids.

In 2003, Mary Lawis was killed in a home invasion by an unnamed assailant. Mark at age 11 managed to defend himself and his sister, however not without a few legal repercussions. He was charged with voluntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, and abuse of a corpse. He was tried and sentenced as an adult, however with the impeccable Alectrona legal team, he worked it down to 5 years in the prison. Whilst in prison, he had become obsessed with the idea of teleportation, and came out with hundreds of ideas for portal travel for the company. However, he was met with nothing but bad news.

His grandfather and uncle were both assassinated while he was in, his sister and cousin were in foster care until they could manage the company, and he had nowhere to go as the acting CEO had cut off the entire Lawis family until Tale took over at 18. He lived in his childhood hideout for a few weeks, frequenting a small diner on the outskirts of town called Annie's. The owner, Ellen (Mrs. May) Mayweather, saw how disgruntled Mark looked, heard his story, and offered to take care of him. Her daughter had recently died in a car accident, so she took Mark in to keep her company. She finished raising Mark until he was legally 18 and understood how the modern world worked. He got a boring job, moved out of May's house, and started his regular life.

He decided to revolutionize portal travel under his own power, and spent his every waking moment devoting himself to developing this technology, which he did at age 21. Mark Lawis had unlocked not only instantaneous warping of space-time through a mix of his technology and an ancient science that can't be explained with modern science (which he refers to as magic). He continued enhancing his body further with weapons, tools, upgrades, and even devices that healed him so effectively he was functionally invincible.

He eventually repaired his relationship with his sister and cousin, allowing him to regain access to the Lawis fortune. He built himself a mansion on the beach, a massive army of androids built in his uncle's likeness, and a large reputation for a stuck up rich kid with body augmentations. He ate it up though, it fueled his ego.

He keeps himself young and handsome (despite being 33 years old), and keeps himself busy with wacky adventures typically involving his best friend Alice the succubus, and his giant German Shepard, Rocky.

Backstories - Alice Bloodlust

Alice Bloodlust is a lust demon (succubus) from the physical manifestation of hell. Alize Argyros was born in 400 BCE, in Athens, Greece. She was the most beautiful girls to ever exist in that period, and had a tendency to use her beauty to her advantage. This made her peers jealous, and the other Athenian girls had her killed, as she was in defiance of their gods. When she awoke, she had no memory of her old life, and she now existed in Hell in its early stages. While she had committed crimes in her life, her beauty made her a special case. Instead of eternal damnation, it was decided she be made into a demon comprised of pure lustful energy. She was now doomed to feed off the lustful energy of mortal men for all eternity, which in her opinion was better than the toiling.

One day, in the 1940's, after thousands of years of feeding off of random men until they died, she began feeling swayed by society. She no longer craved sustenance from men, she craved love. While she knew she'd outlive them anyways, she still wanted a chance to experience love. So she decided to play along and fit herself into the human society. She gradually became more and more attached to the humans. By the 70's, she appeared to be unlike any other drug-taking, song-singing hippie. Being a hippie granted her more than enough sex to sustain her, and the drugs only deepened her into society.

She continued adapting to the social norms until 2012, where she remembered the whole reason she even decided to pretend to be human. She wandered all over until she found herself at Mark Lawis. She was greatly impressed by his stamina, and decided he was the one. They gave dating a try, and while it didn't work, she was more satisfied being a best friend with benefits. Now she lives off of him in his house, enjoying the luxuries of the modern world.
