OH MY GOODNESS IT'S FINALLY DONE. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE 3 DAYS MAX BUT THEN I TOOK WEEKS OFF FROM IT 😭😭 Its been in editing purgatory for weeks,, (Polaroid is going to DIE 2 seconds)

I had this idea for a bit where Ui is willing putting up with Pol showing her faults. She could easily break out of the rope and punt Pol across the sea if she wanted to.

But now it's time for designs, Headcanons, and production!

First off. Pol and Ui are girls. You can't look at me and those designs and saw those don't scream "Butch." They are butch and you can't do anything about it (light hearted I'm just really passionate about this!!) SECONDLY, the designs are meant to be kept quiet faithful to the originals.

However, there are some big changes specifically with Ui's design. I maayyy have taken her leg away 😋 so yeah! Ui is now an amputee in reference to both the madness world, but more importantly, Unethical Spite with the Porlivian chapter (episode 4). Super awesome. I took most of the colors from my own art fight attack with them where I whipped up some colors :D

As for Polaroid, not much changed with her design either. I considered coloring her and almost did! However, not even a few minutes before I opened that drawing session on Krita, Salesman was added to the Google Drive which states that in that little au anything that Pol touched becomes white. I took that to heart and made pirate pol completely white as well! She also carries a cane due to having weak legs.

I did a different method of planning with sticky notes. First, sketching the drawings on paper. Then, Redrawing it in krita. The last time I did this was with the Daisy bell pmv. Which was actually jotted down during lunch.

As you can see, the quality is much different.

Once configured onto Krita, every scene was a group. The entire project is made in groups sorted by scene. Polaroid an Ui and drawn separately, then exported as transparent pngs in order to edit them in capcut. The only exception to this was scene 6, where the two are drawn together.

The coloring was actually quite the chore. I wanted to use the paint-like brushes to give the two texture. By doing this I had to first completely paint over the line art and continually erase until it fit into the line art. That was simply done for the base color and was incredibly time consuming. Once that was done; a clipping layer would be added, and the color would be added there.

I love this au so much it's my guilty pleasure. Teehee.
