Hi, Any tips for a black female minor "getting into" age regression as a coping mechanism whose parents would literally kill her if they found out?

hi, sorry we’re answering your ask so late!!

there are plenty of subtle and covert ways to engage with age regression. it depends on what your regression looks like and what brings you the most comfort, but here are some things that you could try:

- coloring books/coloring pages! alot of adults use these way more than you think so it shouldn’t raise any eyebrows.

- fun stickers & stationary! could be used for school or just for personal use!

- a small plush or keychain of some kind that brings you comfort! it’s easy to carry around and even easier to hide if necessary

- wearing accessories or small items of clothing that make you feel small! i like wearing a certain sweater or jacket when i regress but it doesn’t look too out of the ordinary.

- engaging with media you enjoy while regressed! there are plenty of ways to watch children’s shows/movies online, or you can find archived websites that let you play kids games for free!

*- order from the kids menu while you’re out or pack yourself some kid sized snacks/meals!!

i know how scary it can be to try out something like age regression when you’re living in a house with very… judgmental and close minded people. our community has a tendency to shut down these types of coping mechanisms just bc they seem “weird” but there’s nothing wrong with age regression and there’s nothing wrong with you! you are not wrong for seeking comfort in it and it’s a much more common coping skill than you think. i hope these tips help and if you want to send more asks abt it, feel free to! good luck and stay safe 🫶🏾

DEF : — a term for regressors who see themselves as a broken (white or black) lamb. Mostly geared for trauma regressors or negative regression, but can also be seen as positive as well. The black lamb, broken and isolated. The white lamb, pure and innocent. This term is for regressors who are both.
