Feeling angry and sad. I miss my family.

I miss the hugs from my aunts. I miss the good food we shared. I miss the Just Dance and Mario Kart competitions. I miss catching up with all my cousins about their lives. I miss sitting in the corner and enjoying the warmth of a living room full of conversation. I miss the silly string wars. I miss waking up on Christmas morning and knowing that I’d be getting more gifts later from all my family. I miss them. But now all of that is gone for me, I can never go back to it. Why did I do it.

Sometimes we feel ourselves slipping when can't help it, and that's okay! But if you ever need to ground yourself to stop regressing, try this!

Count your fingers one by one. Start with a closed fist and slowly add each finger until you have all ten showing. Repeat to yourself (out loud or in your head) details about your location. For example, "my name is ______, I am in a small room with gray walls, the air is cold." Try to mention all of your senses, what can you smell? Is there any noise? Take a sip of a drink if you have one, what does it taste like?

There are lots of grounding techniques you can utilize when you feel disassociated or on the brink of unwanted regression, but this one has worked best for me so far!

♡ She’s much better at taking care of high energy little ones, taking them to make mud pies or just frolic about in the nearby wildlife with them, she always adds a whimsical element, making a normal walk seem like a perilous journey, oh so scary!

♡ Incredibly gentle with her little petal, but won’t hesitate to go Mama Bear mode when someone makes them cry, she’s great when it comes to handling tough situations and meanies!

♡ She loves taking her little one out to play in the sun, she’ll teach them now to play sports too- although she’ll make sure it isn’t too overwhelming for the little.

♡ She always picks flowers for her little, and loves to put them in their hair, daffodils, daisies, marigolds! Any cute flower and she’ll either put it in your hair or weave it into a type of daisy chain for you!

♡ Is always there when needed, you need a shoulder to cry on? She’s there for you, in need of a big bear hug? She’s your gal!

♡ Spoils you a ton, although not to the same extent as Peach, Daisy’ll give you a lot, but she’ll make sure you deserve it!

♡ She’s stern when she needs to give her little one a timeout, but after it’s over, she goes back to being all affectionate again!

♡ BIIIIG cuddler, she’s always sneaking up on her little petal and lifting them up in the air, making sure they’re safe and secure in her arms.
