Graduate School Workshop Mastering the GRE
The first mandatory Graduate School Workshop is TOMORROW Wednesday Feb. 22nd at 5:30 pm in CLB 218.
What to Expect: This workshop is for anyone who thinks s/he will be taking the GRE in the next couple of years and wants to find out about and prepare for the test (especially sophomores, juniors, & seniors).  The General Record Examination ( GRE) is the standard test required by most U.S. universities for admittance into their graduate programs. The workshop will explain the unusual nature of the test and you will learn strategies for doing your best on each portion of the exam. The workshop will cover all sections of the GRE test (Verbal, Math, and Analytical Writing), but we will not cover any Subject Area tests.

The second mandatory Graduate School workshop is Feb 24th at 2:00 pm in CLB 218. This workshop will be about entering the world of work. 
What to Expect:  College graduation and landing your first job are great achievements. However there is a large transition from collegiate life to working professional. You are bound to encounter challenges in the transition to the working world that you did not anticipate while a college student. We will discuss tips to help you  depart and make a smooth transition.  Also, resources for attending graduate school while working will be discussed.

o   Date: Wed. February 1st
o   Time: 5:30 pm
o   Location TBA
o   What to expect:
§  This is a VERY interactive workshop. As such, you MUST bring ALL of your planner, course syllabi, and any additional schedules you have for the semester (e.g., work or extracurricular activities) or else you will not be allowed to participate
§  We will be sending you a questionnaire to complete prior to attending the workshop. Be on the lookout!
§  LASSO will be coming to present, and we will discuss the importance of prioritizing and other aspects of time management
