I don't think that's the point he's trying to make. He's saying that it's convenient that that second effect wasn't mentioned at all in the anime, since if he had activated it sora would have won the duel.
So i was reading Frightfur Mad Chimaera’s anime effect on the Wiki when I noticed something a bit strange.
When this card battles: You can activate this effect; your opponent cannot activate Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Battle Phase.
