in general i dont think fandom tattoos are a bad idea but i think u need to at least give yourself like a two year buffer from the end of that piece of media before you commit. like if someone told me "yeah im obsessed with hazbin hotel rn so im gonna get a hazbin hotel tattoo" id be like woah okay maybe put a pin in that idea for later. but if someone told me "yeah i read homestuck in its prime and i still love it so im gonna get a homestuck tattoo" id be like well fair enough its been like eight years. if you still like it now you'll probably still have fond memories of it in 20 years. you do you.

I wanted to see if I could reasonably translate gokus hair in a way that made sense realistically. It’s pretty long and all over the place! This isn’t even starting to get into what it would look like super sayin style. I liked drawing him :)

There is something kind of sweet about the way Tien voices his fear that Vegeta might go back to Frieza’s side in Super. Because historically, Tien is the fighter who likes Vegeta the least - he’s an alien, not a worthwhile challenge to Tien’s “strongest human alive” title, and more importantly he’s someone who savagely uprooted his entire life & the lives of his loved ones for no reason but petty amusement. That shit doesn’t just go away, right, no matter how many years of Murder Sobriety he gets under his belt.
But when Tien suggests that Vegeta might regress, as we’ve seen him do in the past, he doesn’t do so by arguing that Vegeta is an inherently evil man. Even though we’ve established that he has extremely good reason to believe so. Tien talks about how Vegeta served under Frieza for years, how the return of his old superior might be causing him to slip back into the psychological state of inferior, the one he abandoned while living on earth. Vegeta’s trauma was dehumanization trauma, right? And no matter how much Tien might dislike him, he doesn’t play into that worldview. He approaches the subject of Vegeta becoming a threat again through the lens of Vegeta’s thoughts and feelings, that very innate humanity which Frieza denied him all his life. It probably says more about Tien as a person than any one thing about Vegeta, but I still liked it. A soft epilogue, you could say.

Famed manga creator Akira Toriyama has passed away at age 68 due to acute subdural hematoma.
Toriyama began his first serialized manga, Dr. Slump, in 1980, and it inspired two television anime and multiple films. Toriyama followed it up with Dragon Ball, which ran from 1984 to 1995, and is still inspiring manga and anime sequels and spinoffs today. The manga's Dragon Ball anime adaptation, its sequel Dragon Ball Z, and its other numerous sequels and anime films are equally as well-known as the manga, and its hero Goku has become a character known throughout the world.
Toriyama is also well-known as the character designer for the Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, and Blue Dragon games.
Most recently, Toriyama was working closely with the production for the Dragon Ball Daima anime series, the most recent anime series based on Dragon Ball, and is credited for the new anime's story and character designs.

Interesting your observation about goku's ''love''…. I've thought something similar over time…. although it's a bit strange and I would even say funny how Vegeta feels and shows a much more human love than he does.
I'm honestly moved by how consistent Goku's writing is regarding this ... especially when there are other characters you can compare direct differences with.
It IS interesting to consider Vegeta in all of this .... Perhaps it's just a difference of personality, or maybe Vegeta's upbringing around others (despite being socially and emotionally removed) was enough to make him different from Goku.
Our sample size of Saiyans is much too small for us to draw any conclusions about Saiyan nature, so it's a mysterious variable. And Vegeta is pretty reserved and stoic- will we ever really know what he has going on inside...?
Theres probably like. A million things to say here ...
Vegeta certainly doesnt love every opponent like Goku does. But he does hold a sensible respect for the best of them. Maybe Vegeta's upbringing of emotional blocking factors in?
Vegeta did have the space and time to settle down into and choose his family and friends, and finding his place in that, and that careful way of his is just so different from the way that Goku easily befriends most of everyone and then lets Chichi make homelife decisions for him. He didnt even choose her, she chose him. If she hadnt, would Goku have ever had a family? I'm inclined to believe he wouldn't.
If Vegeta hadnt accidentally procreated with Bulma, would he have ever settled into having a family? Hm ... their nextborn WAS out of volition. But it was 14 years later. But that's just how long it took him to come around.
Vegeta runs on battle just as much as Goku does. But being fueled by something does not mean that it tastes like love. But to Goku, I think it's all one in the same. Huh...
Worth thinking about for forever.

An aspect of Vegebul that I really enjoy is how both Bulma and Vegeta have intense special interests that take up most of their time and energy, so they fundamentally GET each other. For Vegeta, it's training and getting stronger; for Bulma, it's research and gaining more knowledge and technological mastery. Since they're both highly driven, ambitious people, they can respect that drive in each other - while also knowing when to rein the other in from their self-destructive single-mindedness.
Bulma did this canonically, of course, when Vegeta was pushing himself too much in the pre-Androids timeskip. But it's very easy to imagine Vegeta doing the same for Bulma when she gets tunnel vision in the lab and doesn't sleep for more than 24 hours.
Their relationship involves both of them mostly focusing on their respective ambitions, but still carving out an hour or two for each other to cuddle in bed watching Iron Chef.
