coincidentally I made this pink/blue/white shirt last year so I’m seriously just stealing your entire vibe smh
doing what I can to have fun with it! been going well so far :] (I have loads of other music experience which has been helpful lol)
here’s me noodling + my not-bubble shirt
youtube
I just got my first guitar! I’m not saying that I just did it to mimic your vibes….. but maybe just a little >.>
any tips for guitar noobs?
Now that I stopped screaming and being in total denial, let's answer your question ^^'
I learned playing the guitar mostly from just listening to recordings
Start small, learning stuff you REALLY love
It will give you the drive to get past the annoying start
Then once you get more comfortable, things will come with time
So in a nutshell, be patient, have as much fun as possible and play something that gives you motivation to push forward ^^

magic beans??? for a cow SO old that you had to tell a lie to sell it???? (which you told)
were they worthless beans??? were they oversold?????
oh AND tell us who persuaded you to STEAL that gold…….
if i made a mistake, is it:
option 1 - my fault
option 2 - somewhat my fault
option 3 - but it isn’t my fault i was given those beans YOU persuaded me to trade away my cow for beans and without those beans there’d had been no stalk to get up to the giant in the FIRST PLACE!!!!

I started reading dungeon meshi today and I think it’s good for my soul
I think what I love most about it is the message of creativity: sometimes cooking feels like a chore, just something I have to do to survive— laios and the funky bunch are doing it for survival too, but they still find so much joy in experimenting with what’s around them and not just surviving, but thriving in the dungeon
I also love how they don’t just beat the monsters, they are truly mastering the art of hunting them. any adventurer can slay a golem, but it takes a true master to turn them into self-sustaining vegetable gardens. like that’s such a unique and creative take on the fantasy genre
anyways. I cleaned up my kitchen made some banana bread and spaghetti today (NOT TOGETHER) and I found a sense of joy in it I haven’t felt in a while. thank you dungeon meshi, very epic.

also there’s something incredibly powerful about the one-shot
bc laios says:
but moments later, they are spending time cooking a mimic and gathering around to savor it together
which feels like a contradiction at first— are their priorities really this backwards?
but then this panel
and it kinda hits me, yknow?
because it’s saying that taking care of yourself isn’t selfish: it’s okay to take breaks, it’s okay to treat yourself, those things are critical priorities too. even in the face of life or death urgency, self care is still important
and I really appreciate that message… sometimes I feel guilty for relaxing or spending my downtime doing fun and frivolous things, but that time isn’t really wasted, is it? frivolity is self-care
