It looks like a fluffy show, but Cat for Cash is so complex with what it gave us just in the trailer -

we have a son coming back home believing he was truly unloved and discarded by his late mum, only to discover that she had loved him fiercely till her final moments - treating her cats to stories and proudful boats of him, being a placeholder for a mother's love. And he can't do anything about it now.

a soft-hearted debt collector, hating his work, finding it impossible to look into desperate and haggard faces, and demand money from them, someone who is made for the softer parts of life, who is so moved by his concern and compassion for the cats in the café that he tries his best to work with the snarky, bitter son of the late owner, going beyond what is helpful to keep the place running.

Tiger dealing with Lynx who is always so flighty, so flighty ready to run away at the first hint of problem, and Tiger has to keep pulling him back, keep showing him love, keep proving that this place is where he belongs over and over, but how much longer can he keep someone who is determined to be elsewhere?

Lynx's half-sibling turning up out of nowhere, the only person who loved him in the planet being his father's other wife, other woman.. that even though there was no reason for her to love him as her own, she did and so much so that she even left her café to him.

Like even with these crumbs, the angst potential is off the charts and I needed the complete series yesterday lol

it is so funny to me that khao being one of the best criers in gmmtv's roster means that even the fluffiest, silliest, softest, cat-cafe AU romcom script will not spare him from being cast into the depths of the emotional wringer at least once. for the plot
