rapple is eating at me again. because for apple, raven following her mother's legacy as the evil queen and poisoning her when it has to happen. that is love to her. if raven were to do that, then to apple, it would mean that raven is saying she loves apple too. that she'll follow her destiny so that BOTH of them can have their happily ever afters. but for raven, if she were to do that, it wouldn't be love to her at all. because she doesn't want to experience the pain and agony of having to trace her mother's footsteps. she doesn't want to poison and hurt someone who she loves so deeply. they love each other so bad, they care for each other so bad. but to each other, how they want their love to be presented to them, given back to them, is in a way the other doesn't want, and that literally makes me insane in ways incomprehensible

Tumblr and Ao3 would absolutely be nonbinary. You cannot tell me these particular anthropomorphized websites would be interested in gender. At all.
