Loneliness really comes when your eating black beans over the sink in shorts and no shirt before bed

And there's a sound. Or you think you hear a sound. And everything stops and you look at yourself and you just stop for a moment. You don't feel good but you feel fine. And you go to bed and you look back and your life is a long line of "fines"

And you feel the beans in your mouth. The mush. The tough skin of them. And maybe under that 10pm fluorescent light you find out that you didn't really like the taste of black beans. Or maybe when you roll over in the bed you realize you don't like a lot about yourself. Maybe you would if others did, but no celebrates a pity party. You know that, so you wear a big smile and make jokes. But that doesn't get you hugs and support, it gets you laughs and distance. The mush and the tough skin
