The last I ate at this iconic place Ansla Plaza sitting at the amphitheatre was around 2008-09. A decade later I again enjoy the nostalgia this time with a @mcdonalds Chicken Wrap 😎

No, SPORTS PR isn't easy! (Series - #thoughtfulthursday)
I have been a sports pr professional for a good 14 years now. While i have worked across various organisations ranging from marketing companies to PR agencies to football clubs and sports federations, I've always seen a very  common yet disturbing notion amongst my colleagues from different departments - what’s there in PR? You just need to get the story printed, what's the big deal about it?
Well to answer that i thought it is important to pen down my thoughts on why it isn't how they see it or anyone else sees it to be. This will be a weekly series where i will pen don one reason on why is SPORTS PR probably as much of a hard work (mentally more exhausting) as that of any other department if not more.
Yes, there is a BIG DEAL Sports PR. Sports PR isn't just about getting it printed, its about creating a compelling story which has to find its way amidst zillions of other achievements finding their way into a publication which only has a limited space.
Showcasing your sport / client / team / federation as the one that needs to occupy that space which is being read by millions of people is the biggest task for a sports PR professional. You need to not just think like a journalist but you also need to feel like an athlete to be able to convince that editor / reporter on why your story is worth that space.
To be continued...
