Our fandom forbearers did NOT suffer through Anne Rice, strikethrough, and other bullshit for fucking ACOTAR and Harry Potter fans to fucking ruin it for all of us by selling fanfiction. I am not losing novel length yaoi epics because some of you don't know how to act in fannish spaces and yes I do blame the booktokification of fanfic but I also blame those of you that treat fandom like content to consume and not a community to engage with.

The root of my frustration with a lot of trolley problem discourse is that 'What does it mean to act ethically in a world where shitty luck and the actions of strangers you'll never meet have left you without any purely good options?' is, like, possibly one of the most relevant and universally applicable questions moral philosophy might help answer.
Saying it's a bad question because it's the negligent trolley engineer's fault literally exactly misses the point - yes how to deal on a personal level with systems and infrastructure that designed without much care for human collateral damage is an incredibly useful thing to think about!

So in Minnesota there’s this cultural taboo about taking the last piece. If there’s a group and everyone orders pizza, typically one slice will not be eaten. At the office if someone brings donuts, the last donut will be left alone. Possibly cut in half. Then that half cut in half, but always leaving at least a little on the plate. The reason is it’s considered impolite because someone else might want it. To take the last piece is a desperate thing to do. There’s even an expression: “I wasn’t raised by wolves.” Anyway, here’s the best local facebook post going around right now.

A lot of parents shouldn’t be parents. Which is not me advocating for eugenics. Sex ed, abortion and birth control should be free and easily accessible and we should create culture that doesn’t treat reproducing as inherently altruistic and moral and makes it more acceptable to choose not to have kids. It’s an extremely weighty irreversible choice but it should always be a choice. You should have a damn good reason to have a child instead of it being something you do to tick off a box. If you don’t like kids and you don’t want to sacrifice your time and money to your kids, don’t have a kid. This isn’t an anti-parent anti-kid kid rant, it’s just so sad to see how many parents are kind of meh about their kids or straight up open about regretting them and to remember how many of my friends and classmates growing up had shitty parent horror stories.

Studies show that babies are not afraid of snakes
Scientists launched reptiles into the nursery to assess the reaction of the kids. The result killed: the crumbs perceived the reptiles as toys, and some tried to eat them

I’m actually concerned for boys who complain about how different girls look without makeup. Like did you think eyeshadow permanently alters a girls eyelid? Are you frightened when people change clothes

The GIW managed to capture Jason.
Sure he is way better than them but he was taken by surprise by strange weapons he has never seen before while he was in civilian clothes. The bats naturally try to rescue him but Phantom gets there first.
Danny figures that the bats, and the justice league as a whole, hate ghosts and support the GIW. The bats appearing soon after he tripped their alarms only confirms that they are working together. Danny saves Jason, but the bats persue him proving they won't easily let their specimen go.
Jason is too unconscious to comment on anything. So, Danny just takes this slightly dead guy with him out of the city.
Or the bats think Phantom kidnapped Jason.

>look inside
>taught poorly

The 13th century Swedish peasant boy who's crashing on my couch keeps eating my leftover General Tso's. I always tell him he can order his own but he's all "oh no, just wonton soup is fine with me, it reminds me of winters at home by the fire" but when I open the fridge the next day, what do I see? Not my leftovers! I don't even think they had wontons in medieval Sweden.
