After a year of sharing the character art with you all, My first ever children's book: Toni the Punk Rock Possum has officially launched!!

Pre-Orders for "Toni the Punk Rock Possum" are finally open

I will have this option available until October 20th, and books should be here by November 2024! - First 50 orders will come with a 5x7 print and mini sticker set! - All pre-orders will be signed - This book is a full color, 32 page Hardback sizing at 7.5" x7.5" (If uncomfortable with pre-ordering, but still want to be notified when books are available for purchase, enter your email at the bottom of the shopify page and I will email you when it's ready!)

It's official! I just sent off my first small batch of books to be printed!!

 Once I receive them in the next couple of weeks, I am going to double check the quality and then get my website all set up for pre-orders! In the meantime, I can use all the help I can get to gather up the funds to put in the order for the larger batch of prints (self publishing is quite expensive! ) 

So I am going to be running a sale over at my sticker and print shop. Everything will be %15 off this week until Sunday! That includes that adorable little sticker set of everyone's favorite "Trash Munchers"   ( I also still have my Ko-fi page running for those interested in donations, but please do not feel any pressure) -  Your support and words of encouragement these past several months have been so greatly appreciated, and I am so excited to be SO CLOSE to getting this book out there to you guys!!

The "Trash Munchers" sticker set  is finally here!

Last time I posted about the making of my children's book "Toni the Punk Rock Opossum", I was so touched by how much joy and support it received <3

Since I have chosen to self publish, I thought making this sticker set of the "Trash Munchers" would be a fun way to both raise funds for the printing/editing and also provide something adorable to those who are excited for the book!

 I noticed that although I have briefly described the basic theme of my upcoming children's book, I never actually gave you that sweet, fuzzy underlying message that accompanies it. So here ya go:

“Toni the Punk Rock Possum” is a story that illustrates the importance of surrounding yourself with loving friends that encourage you to follow your dreams no matter how unordinary they may seem. 

Punk covers such a large spectrum of music with so many variations and genres. I thought it would be really fun to use that diversity in these characters by giving them each their own punk style. 

My intention of representing each character with their own interests, animal backgrounds and unique individuality is to show that our many differences can create something wonderful and harmonious when we are together.

Got these little "Boo-quet" prints finished up just in time for the market this weekend. 😀 I have also popped them up on my Etsy shop for anyone interested. With my children's book project taking up a good deal of my time and having to hustle a little harder than usual in this slow business season, I  have been slow on making new work lately. But I have so many new ideas brewing in my meaty head O_O Stay tuned.

Last character for my "Toni the Punk Rock Opossum" children's book is Sammy Skunk!

And with that, "Trash Goblins" lineup is complete. As I continue to work on finishing the pages and illustrations these next couple of months, I thought it would be fun to make a cute vinyl sticker package of these little dudes to help fund the printing later on.

Hey Everyone! So now that I officially have the first draft written, I am excited to share with you all that I am creating a childrens book this year called... "Toni, the Punk Rock Opossum!" (don't act so surprised 😆) It will be a short tale of how Toni became a "Punk Rock Opossum", and it will be told in the style of a rhyming song! ♥️ This project is a HUGE deal for me and I am going to be giving it everything I have. I have decided to self publish this one so that I can stay true to my original characters and concept. Over the next several months, you will probably see a lot more of this little dude and his bandmates pop up as I fine-tune the characters, environments and compositions.

If the idea of having a children's book about a Punk Rock Opossum excites you too, there are a few ways you can help in making this dream come true! 

1. Consider buying work from my shop! Really as simple as that. Since this is a business endeavor, any money I make this year will be helping me in paying for the printing and promoting. 

2. Coming later this year, I am planning on releasing some limited edition stickers of Toni and the rest of the "Trash Goblins" as a way to help promote the book and crowd fund.( I will be selling these on my Ko-Fi page and will definitely let you all know when those go up)

3. Like, Share and Talk about it with your buddies! :D As I continue to flesh out these pages and characters, I will be sharing some sneak peeks with you all. I would be thrilled if this can become something others get excited about too! In a world where there are billions of children's books, I'm hoping to create something that hits a special place in your hearts.
