What Cannot Be Unseen

Ruri'iro stared at the picture wide-eyed. His whole body froze up and he felt his right eye start to twitch. He felt like... somewhere along the lines of... his head exploding, imploding, and vomiting all at the same time. 

Quickly slapping a hand over his mouth, he screamed shrilly into his palm and closed his eyes. But unfortunately, the image was burned into his mind. He made multiple gagging noises before falling off of his chair. 

"I AM NOT TO BE USED FOR SUCH PURPOSES!" he shouted to no one in particular.

He took a short sip from his cup and gave a sigh. Ruri'iro's eyes flicked around the tiny tea shop, watching the other customers. It had been quite some time since he had visited the tea shop--he had not seen Yachiru around to take her to the ice cream shop next door. 

Giving a small yawn, he drained his cup and left the money for the tea on the table. He stepped out of the shop, the only light provided by a sliver of the moon. Ruri'iro sighed. 

There was not much to do at such a late hour. Most everyone was asleep except for some shinigami on guard duty. He tapped his chin and shrugged. Ruri'iro was a tad drowsy but not ready to go to bed. 

He decided to wander.

/clears throat/ Cuuhlhourne, I would greatly appreciate it if you 1) refrained from touching both me and Ruri’ and 2) WEAR SOME CLOTHES! 

No sane person wants to see /chokes and gags/ your body. Or your face for that matter, ever tried a paper bag? I may be able to buy you one. It will save a few poor, unfortunate people from going BLIND! 

Excuse me?! Did you say something? I couldn’t hear you over my overwhelming beauty!

Ruri squirmed under the arrancar's touch and materialized his sword, ready to cut off the arm that was grabbing him. 

"You could hear him quite well! You're just not ready to see the truth of how ugly you are! Now get off of us!"

He cringes a bit and slides his hands down to his hips. 

“I appreciate beauty when I see it,” he said, looking the man before him up at down with a pained look on his face. “What I am seeing is anything but beauty…”

[Sees the Zanpakutou staring, and winks at him] My body is a work of art. And not everyone understands art~

He visibly flinched at the wink and took a few steps back as though afraid he would ‘catch the ugly.’

“If your body is a work of art, it is art from an amateur just entering art school…” 

[He laughed aloud] Well, that is your opinion, zanpakutou. But I have been told that I resemble the ‘Mona Lisa’~ 

He blinked in utter confusion. 

"Who told you such a thing? A blind man?"

“Indeed,” he said, crossing his arms. “And my master does not have time for the likes of you. Believe me when I say he wouldn’t be excited to see you. I certainly am not.”

[Laughs out loud] So I see you, though beautiful, have no appreciation for others beauty~

“A fan? Hardly!” He scoffed. “I beat your ugly ass once—don’t make me do it again.” 

[He raised a beautifully shaped eyebrow] So you’re the zanpakutou of him? [Nods] Speaking of, where is your master? I’m sure he’d be more than excited to see me~

As soon as the door was closed behind them, Ruri wasted no time in pulling his lover into a deep kiss. He wrapped his arms around Kaze’s neck and pushed himself as close as he could to the other man. 

He had missed Kaze so much. And yet, he had been afraid to face him when he came back. Ruri was unsure if he was supposed to ask questions about his lover’s absence… 

But none of that mattered anymore. He had Kaze and he wasn’t going to let him go. 

Kazeshini knew Ruri had been worried about him. He knew that the shorter spirit had worried desperately about where he had gone. But it was a secret that he didn’t feel okay with sharing yet.

He returned the kiss his lover gave him, holding him close. Their bodies pressed together, and he felt at home again. He decided he wouldn’t leave again for a long time.

He couldn't get enough of Kaze--he had missed him so much and everything seemed to be going agonizingly slow. In a burst of dominance, Ruri pushed Kaze backwards and up against a wall before attacking his lover's neck with kisses. 

His nails dug into Kazeshini's skin a bit and his eyes slipped closed as he breathed in the scent of his lover. He had missed Kaze's scent. 

"Kaze," he whispered into his neck.

The suggestion caught Ruri’iro off guard a little. He tilted his head a bit, blinking up at his lover before his mouth formed a small smirk. 

“Of course, Kaze~”

He led his lover back to his room, anxious and done with waiting. He had waited long enough when he was away, and when he hadn’t seen Ruri upon his arrival, he had worried. He found his way back to his room easily, before opening the door and letting them both in.

Ruri’iro chuckled, planting a soft kiss on Kazeshini’s cheek. “I missed you too… So much~”

He wrapped his arms tightly around his lover, holding him close. He had no words to describe just how much he had missed Ruri’iro. Over the time he had been gone, his feelings had been cooped up, and he just wanted to release them. “��� Lets go back to my room.”
