never stops being existentially horrifying to realize that someone you're talking to thinks that there is any kind of biological basis for "race" like the amount of people who are like 'racism is bad, of course race is a real scientific thing it's just bad to treat people differently because of it' and it's like no there is no biological or scientific basis for race it's purely a social concept. a dark skinned black person and a very pale white person can share more dna than two black people or two white people like it's all made up you can't tell someone's genetic or biological makeup just by looking at them. it's all socially constructed and there are massive consequences for this construction but anyone who tries to say that there is any kind of scientific basis for race whether they're knowingly purposely racist or trying to be "progressive" is wrong and realizing that someone you're talking to in a completely benign situation dead seriously thinks that such a thing as a "white race" actually scientifically exists is so terrifying

I've made a self-hosting guide. This tutorial is focused on installing a panel on a virtual private server. These panels are often made for multiple users to use, so if you struggle with setup, one friend who's good with linux can host everything. Or you can set up one central server for a doujin circle.

If people like/use this tutorial, I plan to make more tutorials in future because I think the solution to so many problems we have on the internet are people making their own servers. You can move from server to server easily, and you can always revive your files, even if your VPS goes down.

Lastly, I love to help. It makes me really happy, but I am prone to exhaustion so my responses may be slow, and well, if you ask me something, I need you to provide as much detail to me with what you're struggling with as possible or else I can't help you.

the thing about top surgery and binders is that artists can use it as shorthand for transmasculinity in art without dealing with the stigma around genitals and also the fact bottom surgery is a thing, and basically the only visual shorthand for "i am depicting transfeminity" is either bulge (immediately gets read as Sexualtm) or walking the tightrope of "i went through t puberty" features (very easy to hit caricature). its obviously not a very big deal and like, at the bottom of The Transfeminist Agenda but i still want it.

i kind of hate that whenever something impacts sex work/pornography/etc people go “theyre gonna use this as a stepping stone to censor things that REALLY matter!” like sex workers arent fucking people that need money to live

so itchio has shadowbanned any games tagged with 'nsfw', 'adult', or 'erotic' so they don't show up in searches, and several devs have reported that their r18 games have been removed from the site with no warning

you know, maybe the internet shouldn’t be controlled by payment processors and terf lobbyists. and maybe people should be more concerned about this rise of censorship on queer media.
