🌑 ✨ Upcoming Cosmic Shifts 🔭
[ Oct. 1 — Oct. 11 ]
The first half of October 2024 carries transformative energy, urging the collective to reflect on relationships, communication, and personal growth. With a powerful Solar Eclipse in Libra and Mercury’s shift into Scorpio on the 13th, the cosmos is steering us toward balance, truth, and deep introspection. These two weeks will feel like a transition period, a time to let go of what no longer serves and make way for new beginnings.
🕯️How to Navigate The First Half of October:
• ✨🧹 Reassess relationships:
Ask yourself where you might be giving too much or too little, and how you can bring more balance and compromise to your connections.
• ✨🧹 Set new intentions:
Eclipses mark new beginnings, making this the perfect time to set intentions around harmony, fairness, and mutual respect.
• ✨🧹 Embrace change:
Although it may be uncomfortable, this eclipse urges the collective to welcome changes that bring greater balance to life, especially in relationships and partnerships.

It's that time of the year where the leaves begin to change colors and the chill of fall rolls in. Mabon is the second harvest, I like to call it Witch's Thanksgiving. Mabon carries with it themes of the circle of life. The earth gave life to the planet, fall brings it's slow departure for winter, and then it's reborn in the spring. Cleansing and Amplification Oil
Components
Small dropper bottle
Salt (purification)
Rosemary (cleansing)
Bay leaf (amplification)
Lavender (protection, power)
Olive oil (carrier, divine connection)
Process
Cleanse materials.
Add salt and herbs to bottle.
Fill bottle with oil.
Shake to add energy/intention (and to mix).
Let steep.
So when I make this again, I probably won't use salt, as (shocker) salt doesn't dissolve well in oil. That being said, please use dried herbs so that they don't mold or go rancid. In a properly clean container, this should keep for around a year. It should be skin-safe, but I wouldn't eat it. This is a great little oil for adding to spellwork, anointing jewelry, cleansing, etc.

Pray for Louisiana
Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry cut almost $1 million worth of government aid to the Catholic Charities of Acadiana due to their history of serving migrants in Lafayette, Louisiana.
This, to me, is horrifically ironic considering the people who are responsible for the rich culture that so many exploit were Acadian refugees and the enslaved and free Africans who came to call Louisiana home. Louisiana has been a refuge for those seeking a new life or forced into a new one since it's very inception.
I was born and raised in Louisiana, and I have gotten used to my state getting overlooked on a national scale unless someone announces they're going to New Orleans for Mardi Gras or a bachelorette party or if a massive hurricane wrecks havoc on the community. And even then, its not the wealthy and well-off who see the devastation of these storms but the poor who are overwhelmingly Black, queer, and migrant. And while it has been nearly a decade since I've lived in that state full time, Louisiana will always be home. This, I think, is why this news is so devastating to me. There are so many reasons to criticize the Catholic Charities, but defunding a homeless shelter due to the possibility they could be harboring illegal immigrants is not one.
My heart aches for the migrants seeking shelter and seeking a home within the state I love so much. I feel rage that Louisiana's history of opening its arms to those fleeing their homeland for one reason or another is being cut short due to extremist political ideology.
Saint Mother Cabrini, pray for the immigrants and migrants of Louisiana.
Saint Benedict Labre, pray for the homeless of Louisiana.

Making ✨️Holy Water✨️
***if ur like me rn and too poor to buy some or to go to a church to get some, I've opted to learn how to make some. if u don't vibe with this u can keep ✨️scrolling✨️***
What is Holy Water
(from catholicace) Holy water is water blessed by the priest with solemn prayer to beg God’s blessing on those who use it, and protection from the powers of darkness
The water symbolizes purity of soul; the salt stands for prudence; the combination is a symbol of purity and immortality
Ways to Use Holy Water
✨️✨️ Holy water is often used to cleanse objects and spaces✨️✨️
other ways:
when struggling with negativity
in the mornings before morning prayers
before leaving to go somewhere
in the evenings before evening prayers
before sleep at night
blessing loved ones
blessing ur home
blessing ur food
and more!
Ingredients:
Half a glass of water
Half a teaspoon of salt
Their source does not matter, but you may prefer to use ones that come from wells and springs or are natural/organic
Methods:
In whatever way works best for you, centre yourself and connect fully with the Spirit u are calling on for protection
Allow that connection to come fully through you so that it radiates through your hands. Place the palm of your hand (right hand if right-handed, left if left-handed) over the water and sense the energy flowing into every atom and molecule of the water.
With slow and calm intention, think or say the following words:
Hello, creature of water. In the name of All That is Benevolent and Good, I bless you. I cleanse you. I exorcise you of all elements of evil and negativity, so that wherever you are scattered all elements of evil and negativity may depart
As you say these words, you can increase the potency by drawing a symbol in the water using the energy from your palm. If you are Christian, you might use the cross; if Jewish, the Star of David; if Hindu, the OM; if pagan, the equal-armed across; and so on. It is customary to draw it three times
✨️✨️ I tried to keep this as secular and neutral as I could. I believe this can be tweaked to fit your own spiritual practices ✨️✨️

If you're a self proclaimed "Christian" who won't call out racism, sexism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, antisemitism, Islamophobia, classism, ableism, xenophobia and any other form of bigotry and discrimination, you're not a very good Christian. If you endorse any of those forms of discrimination, I'd say you're not a Christian at all. Be a kind person and call out bigotry when you see it. It is unacceptable in truly Christian spaces.

Bible magic and divination ♡
~Sleep with a bible under your pillow to avoid nightmares
~Keep bible open to David's psalm at the front door to keep roaming haints out
~To get an answer for a question to God, close your eyes and flip through the pages. Stop your finger at a verse that you feel God is drawing you to.
~Write down psalm 23 on a piece of paper to carry with you to protect from lightening, rheumatism, bad luck, and harm.
~Take the bible to a crossroad or outside on a windy day, let God blow the wind to a verse and read it.
~For arthritis or other ailments of the bones, take some lard or oil and rub it over the aching place while reciting Proverbs 16:24 or the Lord’s Prayer.
~For pain in the body, the place is rubbed “to the left”, while saying “Tame thou flesh and bone, like Christ in Paradise” seven times.
~Keep photos of loved ones in your bible to keep them safe and out of trouble.
