A picture i found in his lab. Over the holiday, i was helping him pick up the place (it was a CATASTROPHIC mess in there, like… damn), and he had a lot of pictures stacked in boxes.

I looked through a few of them, and… fate be damned, i saw one with him and my mom, before she was pregnant with me. He said they were just friends, but…

I had a feeling it was something different. And i know a feeling isnt proof or fact - im well aware from experience alone - but, i just… cant find myself not trusting my gut this time. I honestly dont even know if he knows, if i am his, because my mom ended up moving across the country shortly after she found out, so the timeline of events would make sense, its really all just -

Its mostly a feeling i get with him, more than anything. We also have the same mole on the back of our necks, which would be… quite the coincidence if he wasnt related to me.

Am i crazy? I dont feel crazy - i just feel… bleehh. Emotional. And mad. And… unsure.

Yeah. This Guy. As in my dimension’s Green Goblin. The Green Goblin could be my biological father who i have never met and probably doesnt even know i exist.

I had a very messy end of the year finding all of this out.

Fable put two hands on her hips, pulling an oddly motherly scowl at Kyoki’s minor insult, as they continued to move along through a narrow alleyway. At the other dark end, voices of goons and criminals could be heard instructing each other. Drug busts - Fable never liked them, they were far too easy.

“Hyena?” he muttered, knowing exactly what they meant. He didn’t exactly have the best whisper - volume control was something he never really learned, so he tended to whisper shout instead of actually, properly whispering. “Hyenas arent that loud… i think… and anyway, thats easy for you to say! You dont have a whole other form poking at your frontal lobe all the time, begging to be let loose and go crazy.”

Fable was in soooo much trouble.

She woke up in her dorm at HQ, and luckily it wasnt trashed. The rest of the building, however… she was already aware it wasnt in the best condition.

His head was throbbing the second his eyes were open, like a constant war drum anxiously awaiting battle - battle, Fable assumed, being getting out of bed. He groaned to himself, the thought alone of having to wake up at - he checked his bedside alarm clock - twelve thirty in the afternoon making his head ache terribly.

When they slowly and carefully sat up, they were then aware they had never changed out of their day clothes last night. They were so trashed, it seemed they couldnt even get their pants off before they were passing out… oy vey…

She blinked away the pain in her head and body, and tried to focus on what happened last night. She ran two slow hands up and down her face steadily, as if to try and jog her memory…

He wasnt all that drunk by midnight, but afterwards was when it got real bad. He remembered the ball dropping and everyone setting off streamers and noise makers and yelling out in celebration. That was the nice part. The rest of the night? Um… not so much.

They had a vague memory of drinking Hobie’s clearly spiked punch, then a slightly clearer one of Fable telling some poor Spider-Lady who clearly didnt give a shit about the entire history of the original Doctor Who series, yelling it into her ear because the music was too loud. They could not remember who she was.

Then… Spider-Ham was there, doing Spider-Ham things… someone set off fireworks in the cafeteria… Bridge had to wrangle up a few younger spiders who were not supposed to be drinking… at some point, Fable found herself outside Miguel’s office door, which he had smartly locked, screeching some kind of taunt, and -

He let his hands fall from him face. Nope. No. Memories over. He didnt want to remember what embarrassing vent he’d thrown at the poor guy outside his door.

Fable took in a breath, preparing for the rest of the day. They had a lot of cleaning to do.

“… Dammit,” he muttered, a defeated expression hiding a layer of amusement underneath. He liked stupid games like these - useless discussions without point, but remembered fondly because they involve the people Fable cares about. “Never challenge a walking dictionary, i guess.”

A vague streak of... Was that amusement? Crossed the android's face as an old friend of hers, Fable, defensively exclaimed an attestment to their own intelligence. Of course, she couldn't pass up the opportunity to put that intellect to the test.

"Pray tell, what is the biggest word you know?"

Fable lifted an almighty finger, her unpointed hand firmly placed against her hip. Her mouth opened to utter an answer, but… nothing. She hadnt actually thought of anything before pulling such a smug stance - a stance that faltered weakly, that proud finger going limp.

His small grin lowered swiftly into a puzzled expression, looking off thoughtfully as he scrambled for something in his head. Eventually (after a long, painfully awkward moment of silence), he perked up with a triple-fanged grin of triumph.

“Supercalifragilisticexpealadocious!” they announced, crossing their arms and swaying back and forth in a much more joyful (but still very smug) posture. “Its in the dictionary.”
