barty is the last choice for a babysitter for obvious reasons. he's bad influence, he hates kids, and he doesn't know how to act around them, despite this both harry and luna think he's the coolest uncle ever and every time their parents ask them who would they like to stay with them they exclaims in union "uncle barty!!"

this didn't change when they became teenagers. merlin knows that barty can't have children, but he loves these two brats.

neil is sitting on the floor between andrew's legs, leaning back against the couch. andrew is playing with his hair that is much in need of a haircut. neil is vaguely aware of something playing on the tv but he is not paying any attention to it. his eyes are closed and he is hyperfocused on the way andrew's fingers feel on his scalp. light scratches before moving down the length of his hair, combing it with his fingers. neil sighs in pleasure when andrew starts massaging the back of his head and neck before going back to tangle his fingers in his hair. neil is practically melted into a puddle by his legs by the time andrew is done with him. his hair is neatly braided and he makes a mental note to never cut his hair. especially now that andrew is bending down to grab him around the waist and pull him onto his lap

Andrew Minyard has a beautiful brain and is quite the comedian, as we can all read in the books ('is your learning curve a horizontal line?'). So I introduce to you the headcanon that during movie nights Andrew will whisper all kinds of commentary in Neil's ear, and Neil regularly dissolves in giggles or straight up laughter and everybody is so confused because the scene wasn't even that funny? Is Neil hearing voices? Stoic Andrew Minyard cannot possibly be that funny right? Neil just waves them off and tries to hold his laughter in. Andrew, btw, is very smug about the fact he can make Neil laugh like that.

forever thinking about that one headcanon I once read about, of Bartys animagus being a bat and that he sometimes just naps in Evans pocket.

and Evan freaking other people out, cause why tf you carrying a bat with you? when it's just his clingy boyfriend, who just wants to be included in whatever weird shit he is up to. but at the same time it's just Evan, so no one is actually that surprised.
