Indian Food Menus Offer Delicious and Healthy Choices
Indian food menus offer delicious and healthy choices. Visiting an Indian restaurant for dinner is a unique culinary experience. As soon as you walk through the door, the smell of Indian spices fills the air, enticing your taste buds and your appetite.  Although you may have come for the taste, Indian cuisine can also be quite healthy as well. Here are some healthy options to consider when ordering.
Try a curry dish. Curry is a mixture of healthful spices. One spice prominent in curry blends is tumeric which is known to have anti-inflammatory properties. Chickpeas and lentils are another frequently used Indian food both of which are high in fiber and resistant starch. The fiber found in in these helps to lower cholesterol levels and promote heart health. And, as if those are not benefit enough, Indian desserts are usually made with whole grains and fruit which make them overall healthier than most American desserts. So no matter what your preference, spicy or sweet there really is a healthy something for everyone on an Indian food menu.

Spice Bistro Offers A Fresh Idea For Your Next Outdoor Event
Spice Bistro offers a fresh idea for your next outdoor event. Yes, a great patio can a place to let an afternoon or evening slip away, but it can also be the perfect spot for your outdoor party.
Three key things make up the perfect summer patio experience: Great atmosphere, refreshing drinks and amazing food. If you have all those your ready to send out some invites. While there are a number of cozy little 6 foot wide patios for an intimate gathering, if you have a larger group you need space, something few patios in Salt Lake City can boast.
That’s why I was so surprised when found an amazing patio at Spice Bistro, a new Indian restaurant in my neighborhood. It had everything you would look for in an outdoor space, and more than enough room for all my friends.  On top of all that the food was some of the best Authentic Indian I have ever had and such a welcome change from the usual outdoor dining fare of burgers and fries.
Spice Bistro is definitely the perfect place to book my next party and my favorite new spot for Indian food In Salt Lake City.

Authentic Indian Food in Salt Lake City is not as hard to find as you may think
Authentic Indian Food in Salt Lake City is not as hard to find as you may think. Being a lover of Ethnic food, I am constantly on the search for great authentic Indian cuisine. Fortunately it seems Salt Lake Ethnic food horizons are beginning to broaden. No longer do you have to hunt down a little, hidden mom and pop spot for amazing Saag Paneer or Chicken Pakera. You can now enjoy your favorite Indian foods in a fine dining setting or on a beautiful garden patio.
With restaurants like these offering bigger spaces, bigger menus and bigger flavors,  I can now spend less time searching for great Authentic Indian Food In Salt Lake City, and more time enjoying it.

Restaurant review: Spice Bistro delivers Indian flavor with steakhouse style
Restaurant review: Spice Bistro delivers Indian flavor with steakhouse style
Review » Holladay/Salt Lake City restaurant Spice Bistro Indian Restaurant wins with a dual menu.

Holladay • To the best of my knowledge, Spice Bistro is a one of a kind restaurant in Utah. Imagine the scenario: You and your companion are ready to dine out. Both of you are hungry and ready to leave the house — you crave Indian food, your partner doesn’t.
At this point fisticuffs are one option to settle the debate, but Spice Bistro offers a more amicable solution with a menu of more than 100 items mixing both Indian and American cuisine.
To deliver on that menu, Spice Bistro runs two completely separate kitchens, with as many as four chefs per kitchen on busier weekend nights, and your dish may pass through both kitchens. In the case of a dish such as Steak Curry ($15.95), the dish starts over on the American side of operations before being completed in the adjoining Indian kitchen.
The expansive kitchen setup is understandable when you survey the large and open dining space, which used to be home to Yorgio’s. On arrival, diners are greeted by a host in the lobby area before being led to the main dining room — a large, dimly lit room, neutrally decorated, that appears more like a steakhouse than Indian restaurant. On the left, there’s a full bar, while the whole room is framed by large windows looking out to the exterior courtyard for al fresco dining and outdoor events.
Eager to test the chops of the Indian chefs, I began with an order of two vegetable samosas ($4.95). I was happy to discover these were well executed, as good as any I’ve had around town — perfectly crisp fried pastry shells packed with mildly seasoned potato. Chicken pakora ($5.50) were a surprising revelation. These battered and fried morsels of chicken can be mushy, greasy or heavy, but here they were exquisitely light and moist, perhaps the best in town.
The creamy delights of a lamb kurma ($15.95) didn’t disappoint, thanks to a rich orange sauce with a generous serving of mostly well-butchered tender lamb. The only downside was that in order to mop up that delicious sauce with fluffy Naan bread, you have to pay an extra $2.25 per side of bread (rice is included as standard).
A vegetarian biryani ($11.95) was the most lackluster dish I sampled. What can be a fragrant, textural treat was actually an underwhelming bowl of mushy rice and equally mushy vegetables. Instead, I found much more luck with the some of my favorite vegetarian curry dishes.
Saag paneer ($11.95) packed some of the freshest Indian paneer cheese I’ve tasted into a lush creamy sauce tempered by bitter spinach. Bhindi aloo ($10.95), a curry composed of okra, potatoes, onions, garlic, ginger and tomatoes, hit the spot, and at Spice Bistro, the designation of hot does mean hot. A dessert of kulfi ($4.95), pistachio and cardamom-inflected Indian ice cream, was the perfect way to cool off at the end of the meal.
Of course, you can also cool off from the full bar, too, featuring wine, beer and signature cocktails. In addition to the usual domestic and Indian beers such as Kingfisher ($5) or Taj Mahal ($8), you can choose from several house cocktails, such as the crisp Mojimlet ($7.00, rum, lime, coriander, nectar and sprigs of cilantro) or tart Desert Hound ($6.00, fresh grapefruit, vodka, grapefruit bitters). For non-drinkers, there are sodas, juices ($2.50), Creamy Chai ($2.95) and Lassi ($3.95).
On the American side of the menu, the approach is confusingly scatter shot. Options include an array of steaks, pasta dishes, meat and fish, even fish tacos and sliders. The selection feels clumsy, attempting to satiate as many possible dining desires as possible, rather than paring down to a core of steakhouse selections. Indeed, the filet mignon ($32.95) I ordered on one visit was not only cooked precisely to temperature, but was tasty, only partially let down by a side of limp tempura green beans and a bland melange of corn, green beans and peas.

Salt Lake City Pizza delivers late and awesome
Salt Lake City pizza is well known for the diversity and choice available. The pizza delivery options in Salt Lake City allow you to get gourmet style pizza until 5am at Big Daddy's Pizza. Some of the ingredient choices include artichoke hearts, fresh mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, green and black olives, and up to six different kinds of cheeses.
Pizza in Salt Lake City is surprising awesome. Ive traveled all over and I have to find a city with the amount of options that Utah pizza offers. I encourage people to try Big Daddy's Pizza after you get back from the bar. Have everybody throw 5 bucks together and get a 26 inch or "The Grandaddy" and feed your buzzed army of friends.

Indian Restaurant is Salt Lake City opens an amazing patio for outdoor dining!
One of the best indian restaurants in Salt Lake City has announced the opening of one of the best outdoor dining areas the valley. Spice Bistro has reinvigorated the Holladay restaurant scene with their new concept of traditional indian and modern american menu fused with a loungy casual dining experience.
The restaurant is known for the food, but the ambience is really great. The outdoor patio can hold over 100 diners and is secluded from wind and traffic noise while being nestled right off Highland Dr. The look and feel remind me a few of favorite hangout in Las Vegas. I hope everybody gets a chance to enjoy what I have found to be an excellent choice for dining with family, friends, and of course the occasional date.
