do you still own the stage props you guys used in the 80s? (the paper mache hands, the carpet hats, the snowman cutout, the huge william allen white faces)

JF: Sad to say no. For most of our adult lives we lived in very small apartments, and we had either no or limited storage space so we couldn't really get too sentimental about anything, but most of those things were used until they crumbled to bits anyway.

JS: do you have a favorite Linnell tune?

JF: um! you know... there's a bunch- there's a bunch of tracks on the new album that I- I really like - this "Mrs Bluebeard" song is a really exciting, you know, uh. just the rhythms of it - I mean, it's- we don't have that many things that are, like, in the latin feel, but it's just like, the piano playing on it to me is like, super exciting.

and uh - I mean, I'm very- you know, it's really "casual fridays" for me, so I get to- you know, I barely play on it. so it's just, um- you know, I just get to enjoy the show.

JL: yeah, I like- actually, I like the Flansburgh songs where.. I'm--

JF: -- (laughing) right--

JL: -- mostly just listening, you know? that's fun!
