The Story

Wayfarer is played in your browser. Due to the way the Twine engine stores data, you must have third-party cookies enabled on the game’s launch page, or the game will not run.

If you encounter an error message that says “Error: No storage adaptors found”, check your ad-block settings and either whitelist the game’s page or enable cookies.

Notes for Mobile Players

The game is fully mobile compatible. If you are playing from a Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Vivaldi, Opera, most Android browsers), the game will launch automatically in portrait mode.

"Is this where Commander Shepard is being held?" she asked sternly, already confident that she must be right. None of the other doors had anyone guarding it. If anyone needed guarding, it would be the person who had just committed mass genocide. She'd basically be considered a war criminal to the highest degree, not to mention a Cerberus defector at this point. No one would even come close to that kind of attention. This had to be her room.

"Who wants to know?" he asked, with a voice more calm and sweet than she would have pegged for his outward appearance. It wasn't enough to belay Hannah's frustrations at this point.

"Is that how you speak to all of your superiors?"

"No, ma'am. Sorry, ma'am. I'm just under strict orders," he said, finally bringing his arms behind him and standing at parade rest. "I have to know who's asking, that's all."

"I'm Captain Shepard. Jane's mother," she said in all seriousness.

"Oh shit, there's two of you?" he said, losing his cool momentarily, before snapping back into action. "I mean, I'm sorry, ma'am, but you're not on the list of pre-approved visitors."

"And why the hell not?" she said, both of them hearing footsteps get louder behind them.

"I can't really say, m—" he said, getting cut off.

"It's okay, Lieutenant," they heard from a thick, smokey voice behind them.

Hannah turned to see Hackett in the flesh. The last time that had happened was at Jane's memorial. The time before that was when he told her about Jane's KIA status. Seeing him in person was starting to grow an association with bitterness.
