Speak To My Soul
3K posts
I got to thinking about what I want to stand for in this life. Who I hope to be, per se. Or, I suppose, it’s really how I someday would like to be remembered. “She was idealistic and yearned to make a difference in the world. She never settled. She lived with passion. And she followed to the tune of her own heart.” Here’s to living this true. And to having a place to collect those things which speak to and move me.

An Adventure in Pescadero
Pescadero State Beach - Drive down Hwy 1 to take in unbelievable views. Stop at any of the beach inlets. Some are free and others aren’t - I’ve found the free ones are just as good!
Mercado & Taqueria De Amigos - Stop here for a taco appetizer! Yes, it is inside a gas station - but one of the best tacos you will ever have.
Duarte’s Tavern - Have lunch here at the bar! I recommend the dungeness crab sandwich or melt because it is local to this area. You’re likely to sit next to some locals - most of which are farmers who have lived their entire lives in Pescadero and always have a story to share. The Irish coffee is GREAT too.
Arcangeli Market - Walk here to pick up a loaf of artichoke bread - this is a must.
Harley Farms Goat Dairy - Take a very short drive here to get some fresh goat cheese to go with your bread as a snack for the road!
Next take the drive down Pescadero Creek Road to Alpine Road - get ready for an unforgettable experience!
Sam McDonald County Park - Stop for a hihke through the lush redwood forests.
Thomas Fogarty Vineyard - Visit here for my all time favorite Pinot Noir.

There was this really smart scientist guy who said people could learn a lot from dogs:
"When people you love walk through the door - even if it happens five times a day - you should go totally insane with joy."
