Edited Models for Modding Objects

Hi everyone, something different today! I followed a tutorial for editing object models in SimPE by hugelunatic last night and was very excited with the outcome, so thought others might be interested too.

I have changed the default object models for the mods ACR, FFS Debugger/Batbox, Sim Manipulator, Sim Blender, and the Visitor Controller. They are now a bonsai tree, frost de fleur vase, watering can, piece of driftwood and tip jar.

I have also changed the additional models you can choose from! I've used all Maxis objects and hopefully there's a good variety between all 5 mods and the types of objects used e.g. potplants, kitchen clutter, outdoor items, things to blend into community lots etc.

I have included a text file listing all models for all mods! You'll see all these items in the pictures below, along with some basic ideas of how to decorate your lots. You might need to use the moveobjects cheat to place some of the options nicely. I also plan to upload versions for less modern games soon 😁

I have the Ultimate Collection so use versions of the mods compatible with that, and use Maxis objects across all EPs and SPs for models.

Be sure to remove any other versions of these files you might have, they may be named differently!!

Paris Hilton Repo-man Default Replacement

By popular demand, I am releasing this default. But be warned, the installation process requires SimPE!

You can download SimPE here if you don't have it.

Instructions

Download the files below and put them in your downloads. Use clean installer to install the Paris Hilton sim.

Go into your neighborhood and create Paris Hilton in CAS via the downloaded sim

Close the game

Open SimPE and click Ctrl + Shift + N

Choose your neighborhood, click Open, wait for it to load, then go to Tools > Neighborhood > Sim Surgery

Make sure the Service Sims box at the top of the window is checked and scroll down to find a sim named "Repo Man"

Click on the Repo Man sim and then click Use within the Patient Sim box on the right

Then, scroll up to find your Paris Hilton sim. Click on Paris Hilton and click Use within the Archetype Sim box on the right

Click Surgery

You will have to do steps 6-9 for each repo-man in your neighborhood if you don't have antiredundancy.

You will have to do steps 2-9 for each neighborhood you want a Paris Hilton repo-man in.

Taking a look through this recently updated SimPE and found something I haven't seen before: Sim Profiles.

You get pretty boring ones like Ripp and Nervous here.

But you also get some weird ones too like for Lilith (teens can't woohoo in a vanilla game). This line doesn't show up for all teens, or all sims for that matter. (Thinking this over, I think the virgin line shows if a sim has been in a romantic relationship.)

These are @lilith-sims's Honey Honey skins put on new files with their accompanying sets of repo’d showerproof skins for a variety of body shapes. If you don't care about body shapes, the only point to getting my version instead of Lilith's would be for the wrinkles I added on elders.

The non-freckled skins will conflict with my recent palettes (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6) and half of my big realistic palettes (x, x - see tables at the bottom of this post). The freckled skins will conflict with the other half of the big realistic palettes.

The regular set: SFS / Mega

• the skins are geneticized (except the alien default) and townified • the number at the end of every file name (e.g. 0.08, 0.1, 0.18…) gives you the genetic value of that skin (to learn more about skin genetics and how to edit them, see Rikkulidea’s tutorial) • if you don’t want all 21 skins, you can absolutely pick and choose, the genetic spectrum won’t be disrupted • TU-EU have distinct textures for fat, normal & fit states • toddlers have the cute toddler teeth and babies have no teeth • elders have subtle wrinkles as shown above • the non-default skins will appear in CAS in the custom skins bin with these thumbnails:

The showerproof sets

What are showerproof skins? They are skins linked to a custom body shape (or body shapes). When you give a showerproof skin to a sim, that sim will have the body shape that the skin is linked to when they are nude (taking a bath, streaking, doing ACR stuff, etc.). Showerproof skins have no effect whatsoever on clothing, because clothes use their own meshes.

The showerproof sets are repo’d to the regular skins above: you need the regular set for the showerproof sets to work. Like the regular set, they’re geneticized. You’ll have to choose if you want them to be townified or not (townified skins can appear on new townies and NPCs that spawn, non-townified skins cannot).

The required meshes are included, don’t forget to choose between blockfeet/sexyfeet/Marvine feet and Maxis hands/smooth hands. If you’re missing meshes, the affected sims will appear as floating heads or will be missing half their bodies when naked (it won’t break your game in any way, it’s just definitely not the intended result).

Note on the included meshes: the original nude fat family meshes are from Melodie9’s MTS, but turns out those are, well, not how top and bottom meshes are supposed to be: all of them are full-body, doubling the polycounts unnecessarily. So I fixed that and took the opportunity to add preg morphs to the teen meshes.

Note on the included meshes: you’ll have to choose between 2 versions, either “HD” or “low poly” (previews are included - disregard the skin textures, they aren’t part of this set). The HD meshes are by BlueHeavenSims, with a couple tweaks (smoothed normals on the forearms, fixed shoulders on the LBB fat morphs) - they have sexyfeet, smooth hands, 3D nipples and are high-poly (6,454 poly for full-body AG; 8,601 poly for full-body LBB). The low-poly meshes are top and bottom meshes I made based on Marvine’s original AG and Synapticsim’s original LBB v.2.0 (I added morphs with BlueHeavenSims’s morphs as reference) - they have blockfeet, Maxis hands and are low-poly (1,960 for full-body AG; 2,186 poly for full-body LBB).

Note on the included meshes: they’re slightly edited versions of the top and bottom meshes shared by CelestialSpider on the Plumb Bob Keep (smoothed some kinks, closed the thigh gap on the fat morphs, reduced breast size on TF).

All of these skins are tooltipped, have their custom thumbnails and are sortindexed so that they will appear tidily set after set in your custom skins bin. If you use other skins though, there is a chance that those will appear jumbled up with mine if their sortindex numbers happen to clash. It’s only an aesthetic issue but if it bothers you, see this tutorial by Kurimas on how to change the order in which clothes appear in the CAS catalogue (it works for skins and other bodyshop content too).

TF-AF Juicy Couture Tracksuit Separates

Recolors of YFtopHipSweats & YFbottomHipSweats, enabled for both Young Adult & Adult, with a TF version using @rudhira's meshes (included!). Categorized as Everyday & Athletic (if you use the Separates4All mod).

I put on a velour-textured overlay, then I edited out the tribal designs & added in the word "Juicy," written out in simlish with @ozyman4's True-Badoor font, which I then traced using a rhinestone brush.

I also added bump maps to both the top & bottom, exclusively for the rhinestones. All ages/colors' bump maps are repositoried to the black AF top/bottom, so there's only one singular bump map image (instead of 24).

TF is also repositoried to the AF versions, so the AF files are required to see the textures on the TF ones.

I've included PSD files of the top & bottom so you can recolor it if you want - I didn't actually make any new colors, so the base texture is just the EAxis pink one, but the layers with rhinestone lettering & velour texture are the main things I wanted to preserve/share.
