Hi guys! I uploaded a tutorial today with all my best tips for using pose boxes, overlay boxes, animation boxes, etc. Please check it out and let me know what you think!

Things I cover include: - how to have sims walk and do animations at the same time - how to layer face overlays to change expressions while retaining sims talking mouths - how to use pose boxes to change animations and remix them to your heart's content - how to use omsp's to change up animations and get more options I hope that this can be helpful for someone! I am no expert and have zero idea how poseboxes work lmao so don't expect too much technical know-how, but I think hopefully you will be able to learn something new! Watch here

I didn't think it'd be that simple but it was

To get the rest of the animation to line up with the "throw wildly" one I put in as replacement, I figured something would have to be delayed a little longer. Then I saw that the BHAV for Person B said "Idle" for 5 ticks (30 ticks is 1 sim minute according to this)

I changed it to 20 ticks, and since that was just a random guess I thought I might have to change it a few more times - But no, apparently my guess was right the first time

ive been really busy and wasn't able to finish this in time for halloween! but i hope someone will enjoy these now regardless lol, more details and DL under the cut!

its no secret i like to obsessively pose scenes in sims 2 lol and i edited some various "movie" posters (they aren't real movies obv). I tried to keep them with a pretty true-to-sims-energy style. Some of them have video game energy and could be used in gaming stores too!

the posters come on artig and also surfing the universe for super collection peeps. Idk why I put them on a poster that isn't nearly the same aspect ratio, it made it way harder for no reason lol. The films are:

Blood in the Water (tagline: at the beach...looking like a snack)

Phantom Photo (j horror-inspired, you can prob guess the game! :P)

A Generous Man (a Rod Humble horror movie..whats in the box!!)

Virus Hunters (tagline: the best way to kill a virus...is with a gun)

Game Day (tagline: there's no "I" in scream)

here's how the artig recolors look on various add-ons by @littlelittlesimmies . Sadly as you can see the posters get a bit cut-off on the artig poster add-on because I extended outside of artig's white border and didn't realize they got cut off until late in the process ;_;

i made the artig ones at 1024 originally so included them just in case someone wants hq textures. up close you can tell a difference, but from normal game distance they look essentially the same. So you can pick between 512 or 1024 in the folder.

not to be dramatic, but picking up cc making again has been amazing for my self esteem and productivity. i'm audhd, and demand avoidance usually stops me from doing anything creative, but for last few weeks i've used most of my hours awake to churn out more stuff for this 20 year old game! like, i actually use blender for fun now?? ::DDD

sims 2 was literally the main reason i got into game development anyway, and i'm glad that i did. i just wish that i had the same kind of motivation for doing my job that i have for sims ::D

1) Antka’s “Pencil Skirt and Blouse” in 10 patterns from Colourlovers.com.

2) Yuxi’s Athletic Hoodie in 10 colour combinations from Huning Pony Palette. Original AF by Yuxi here. Age conversion is by Flowermisty. Files are NOT slaved so I recolored both for elders and adults.

3) Base game Grandpa’s pants in 10 patternes from Colourlovers.com. No mesh is needed.

4) Amaryll’s “V-neck resort Pants” in 6 patterns from Squidfingers.com and 6 random colours. Original AM version is by Amaryll here. Age conversion is by Trapping here. Files are NOT slaved so I recolored both for elders and adults.

i wasn't too sure about how these had turned out at first, but after seeing them in game they actually grew on me, so here they are. thank you @gvaudoiin-tricou for encouraging me to finish them and share! i hope you like them :-)

since this is essentially a mash-up of several people's work (see credits), frankenstein-ed together, it feels pretty appropriate for the theme.... 🧟‍♂️🔪🦇🩸👽 consider this a tiny late simblreen treat, hehe 🎃

these separate tops are for AF only, since that's what i needed in my game (but the TF/EF meshes should be easy to copy-paste onto)

they are categorized as everyday, sleepwear and athletic (not sure who would want to sleep or exercise in fishnets but hey i'm not judging. also it's really easy to remove them if you like, since they're a separate texture from the shirt)

compressorized, tooltipped, and the files are labeled clearly. the swatch and previews are included in the rar file.

full disclosure, this mesh has a few issues i don't currently have the skills to fix: it has no fat morph (😑), and there is some clipping in places depending on how the sim moves, and a few dark spots (not super noticeable with the black texture, thankfully). if anyone feels inspired to fix the mesh or add morphs, i'll happily update this post and the linked file.

Hi Miles, could you please share your version of Romeo's hair?

OH i never actually made a download post for this one, huh! i had it bundled up all nice on mediafire and everything... oops. lol

here it is! a quick retexture of digitalangels' deimos 001. all the hair itself can be credited to the lovely @digisims2 and @profesionalpartyguest (who remi'd this hair over here) — all i did was tweak the hat texture to give it romeo's signature hat stripes and alpha out the clip.

it's all-ages, unisex, and has four colors and a gray (as well as a blonde-streaked recolor in the custom bin for my own headcanon's sake :P).

Squeaking one more post in just before September's over! These are the @dallasgirl79 platform Mary-Janes I used for this dress, as pantless bottoms. They're too cute to stay mostly hidden under a long dress.

They're for TF-EF, with the standard morphs. Set as Everyday only. They come in all 36 of DallasGirl's original colors, because I can't make choices.

No swatch, but there's a CAS preview here.

Note: These use the same TXTR file for the tiny black shorts that I guess is standard for my pantless bottoms now. It's included, but you only need one copy.
