the marinette hate is so strong right now, and a tiktok comment made me realize lila is manipulating the fandom the same way she manipulates everyone in universe. following marinette around, ensuring akumas can be directly related to marinette’s actions. because lila has always wanted everyone to hate marinette, whether she knows she’s ladybug or not. so she’s using her power to eventually turn everyone against marinette, and it’s working on the fandom too. master manipulator right there

The more I think abt it the more season 6 Adrien’s appearance makes sense to me. Like yeah he was just orphaned he’s gonna be depressed. His dad was in control of all his model stuff and therefore appearances, so of course now that he’s gone he might not take care of his appearance as much. He’s experiencing a new loss, but a new independence that comes along with it, he may not exactly know what to do with himself now. While everyone is moving along and changing, getting older, he’s a bit stunted, stuck in this limbo time in which he needs to actually figure out who exactly he is.

So yeah maybe I do like the Justin Bieber cut. It’s grown on me

It seems my theory that Felix has one of the twin rings is incorrect.

Thomas replied to a post that talked about a theory quite similar to mine that Adrien's rings are fake and Felix has the real ones. He said to watch the Riposte episode again, then replied this:

In the Riposte episode, the akuma was in Kagami's ring, but the amok didn't come out of the ring when Ladybug broke it. Similarly, Colt broke/damaged Felix's ring, but the amok didn't come out.

But when Colt broke the ring, Felix collapsed. So while breaking the ring doesn't necessarily release the amok, it must have still hurt him. For Kagami and Adrien, Ladybug's power directly repaired their rings, so we don't know what effect it had on them.

For those who will say that Kagami's ring in Riposte is not the real one because it is black unlike the other episodes where it is silver. Thomas confirmed that the two rings are the same.

I think it's an animation error. In Kagami's concept art from season 2, there's no black ring. There's only her silver ring.

Another thing that makes me think the black ring is a mistake is that Riposte's costume is inspired by her ring: she's all silver and wears the symbol of her ring on her helmet and sword.

To be honest, I don't like to theorize too much and I prefer to follow the story and wait to see what new information the next episodes will bring us.

Rena Rouge - Miraculous Ladybug S6 - Episode 2 “The Illustrhater”

Soo I really should’ve posted this a while ago but I was waiting to get marks back for it. I don’t know what my unis policy is with posting assignments but I wanted to be safe rather than sorry.

So this tri one of my classes was on animation in video games and the assignment was we had to make ‘a game entity.’ What they expected us to do was to use pre made assets and just add code in unreal engine to make them playable.

Me being *normal* and *sane* pitched IN FRONT OF MY ENTIRE CLASS (I swear everyone at that university just knows me as the miraculous girl) to make cat noir and do ALL THE ANIMATIONS from scratch. Yknow like a moron.

They’re not my best work but time constraints. I picked cat noir over ladybug because I knew I could draw him faster (all those spots make me want to die) and his pre s6 design for the same reason, I know it better so I can do it faster.

The animations I made were an idle, jump, fall, run and attack. (Everything but the attack was mandatory to pass)

I drew some new buildings for the environment (but I mostly reused spring and a storm assets SUE ME I HAD TO CUT CORNERS SOMEWHERE) and made cat noir into a *mostly* functional video game character.

Now before anyone asks. No I’m not making this into a full video game. I did it for my university and that’s it. While it was fun, I do not have the time nor energy to start a project that big right now.

So, I was rewatching Glaciator 2 with my dad today, and there's a particular bit of Marinette dialogue that suddenly has new context, with the release of season 6.

"But telling someone you love them? If it doesn't work out, it's your heart that gets cataclysm-ed, and no Miraculous Ladybug can repair that. That's why I never get anywhere with boys. When things are really important to me, I get so scared that it won't work out that I can't help trying to control every possible outcome! I tell myself stories with wedding dresses, and hamsters, and what people see is not Marinette opening her heart up. It's Marinette talking about some ridiculous nonsense she's made up."

Think about how she's been acting in season 6 so far. Catastrophising, scheming, trying to control everything she possibly can. She even says as much in Illustrhater. I genuinely think she knows the truth about Gabriel is going to come out eventually. And I genuinely think she's preparing for Adrien to break up with her over it.

She's acting crazy because she's terrified. She's acting crazy because she thinks she's going to lose Adrien.

SO I AM NOT AT ALL GOING INSANE RIGHT NOW. NOPE.

It's not like Sabrina and Adrien were the only two characters who had yet to change there appearance this season. And it was only after Sabrina was able to understand her identity and her self-worth outside of Chloe that she was able to "unlock" a new look for herself.

IT'S NOT LIKE ADRIEN has been stuck in understanding himself only through those around him. Or that he's been trapped in his father's shadow since day one. Never worthy of being around. but always expected to hold up the expectations of being Gabriel Agreste's son.

IT'S NOT LIKE we have been TEASED and INFORMED through every. single. episode. of. this. season. That Adrien is lost, that he is struggling to understand himself and his identity. That we have yet to really see how Adrien, who hates change, is processing everything in his life changing.

IT'S NOT LIKE Adrien is gathering new people to fill his life and occupy the space his father's death created. Because he doesn't know how to grieve. he was never allowed to. And he doesn't know how to grieve his father when he's been grieving him his whole life.

IT'S. NOT. LIKE. Adrien puts on the same clothes his father picked out for him. Not willing to make the choice to iron them, but instead passively going through the motions of just putting them on. Simultaneously not really making a choice for himself but also somehow making the choice to remain his father's pet

All the ideas im thinking for this Werepapas episode has me feral...

I still believe that felix should be able to sense an amok on cat noir.

Though you can't see it, I'm sure he would still be able to sense it wouldn't he??? Like in ephemeral, hawkmoth was still using the ring (rubbing it to control adrien) even though you couldn't see it on the surface of his finger.

In this werepapas episode, I have a feeling it's going to be custody battle episode LOL or at least the grandparents wanting the twin rings back.

Based on the screenshot of the grandma akumatized, I'm sure adrien loses his rings temporarily. So if cat noir joins the fight, felix/argos obviously wouldn't sense an amok on cat noir since he just lost his rings. But wouldn't it be cool if later, argos and cat noir meet up again, let's say rooftop or something, and because cat noir/adrien has his rings back, this time argos would sense that. Then he puts two and two together ("hmm after returning the rings the adrien...NOW I sense an amok on cat noir???")

Then I can see felix not telling adrien that he knows his identity. That can also make comedic and cute interactions between them. They both think they don't know each others identity loll (by the way if you've ever watched Danny Phantom- danny's sister jazz finding out but not saying anything at first is like the perfect example!)

Adrien also just needs someone that knows his identify so he has someone to rely on like how marienette has alya. I know Luka knows, but he's so far not that close with adrien to have his back. So I'm still rooting for felix to know (no nino plz lolll).

Regardless, I need felix (and of course amalie/nathalie) to be in this episode. I mean it's supposed to be a FAMILY War, how you not gonna have the whole family?! So I need these boys interacting in both civilian and their superhero forms- just so much potential for stories and drama!

Concerning the twin rings that Ladybug broke:

Personally, I think we're missing information that maybe Marinette knows and we viewers don't. Also, season 6 is written as a “season 1” (of sorts), so new viewers who haven't seen the previous seasons may not really understand why Ladybug was afraid to break the rings.

I also think it may have something to do with Felix. When he appears in an episode, I think they'll reintroduce/explain the concept of sentimonsters and amoks, and maybe we'll get the answers to the questions we had during the Werepapas episode.

Personally, I think Adrien is wearing one of the twin rings, but the other is a fake. Felix is probably protecting the other twin ring. It's possible that Marinette knows all this and that's why she had a little doubt before breaking the rings, but did it anyway because the amok can't come out until the two real rings are together. But that's just my theory, we'll see.

Don't read if you haven't watched Werepapas but hmmm...

So either the whole set is fake and Marinette didn't know OR just one of the two parts is not the real deal.

Maybe Gabriel didn't give the actual Twin Ring but I fail to see when he would have make the switch during his final plan. And we know he wouldn't have been fooled if any part of the Twin Ring was fake.

I think it is most likely that Marinette with the assistance of Félix - who as the Peacock Holder can sense Amoks and has a known history of counterfeiting rings - took measures to further protect Adrien's Amok before handing him the Twin Ring.

We have seen in Crocoduel that it is possible to break an incomplete akumatized object without releasing the Akuma. Theorically, the same should be possible with an Amok. But it was just a theory and they weren't sure at 100% if it would work until this moment.

That would explain Ladybug's hesitation while still taking the risk. That could also had another layer of why she was worried about Lord Graham taking the ring. He too would have noticed if one part was fake.

The question now would be who or where is the other real half? Félix seems to be the most likely candidate. He is family and he is also a Sentibeing Holder of the Peacock Miraculous that values free will so he wouldn't use Adrien's Amok against him. So it would make sense if his mission was to keep the second half of Adrien's Amok safe.
