well it finally happened
so my dad is almost 80, this man's been making Spirk content since Star Trek started airing basically
he never knew ao3 existed, he just thought people stopped writing fanfic when ff.net died, like it was a fad that had outgrown him or smth
he clicked an ao3 link in my pinned last night, realizing that they were in fact clickable
he's mad at me for not telling him earlier. "I don't have a lot of years left in me and there's so much to read"
he's gonna spend his whole retirement reading trek fanfic now jesus christ

Faunwood's "Slither."
Currently on view at Antler Gallery in Portland, Oregon is artist Faunwood's solo exhibition, "Slither."
Miranda ZImmerman, better known as Faunwood, creates delightful and exotic ceramic sculptures and illustrations of woodland critters. "Slither" is a very welcome continuation of the brilliant series from the Eugene, Oregon-based artist.

“my bonnie lies over the ocean, my bonnie lies over the sea,”
are we talking about the same body of water here, which is weird, or different bodies of water, which is even weirder

Ok it's very funny to laugh at Tuxedo Mask for showing up and doing nothing, but his job was never to actually fight the monsters.
His job was just to show up and believe in Sailor Moon so overwhelmingly resolutely that she remembers she's a fucking demigod long enough for HER to fight the monsters.
Because she's the only one strong enough to do it in the first place, and in this regard Tuxedo Mask is the first example of being "Kenough" in this essay I will

Don't forget: it's almost time to stop writing 2024 on forms and instead drawing a picture of a skull with blood pouring from its eye sockets

I just realized that apparently I never shared this series here on Tumblr??
I call it Living Paintings, as they are recreations of extinct animals that some artists actually saw and painted from memory, a long time ago.

I love the idea of a roomba topography map being the jumping on point for a liminal horror story. House of Leaves II: Roomba.
