how can I unleash my imagination?
using it. building it up. little by little.
allowing. granting permision to spend time there.
growing it like a garden like all the other things you’ve grown.
using the senses. the sensory. the sensuality
the pleasure of your being.
allowing it to be a vessel
a portal into other dimensions, realities, timelines...
calling in new worlds.
acknowledging it’s not new
you already do it
your just feeding it with more intentionality
creating safe containers for it to be unleashed
luxuirating in the time spent with it...
expanding and dancing with it
in dress, in music, in movement, in body
(embody)
imagining how your body wants to be, imaging how your body feels free...
moving into realms of sensation, exploration and care
freedom, deliciousness, strength, openness, power, expression
notice how you oppress yourself and your body
with ways in which you should be working, should be being, should be achieving, should look like, should be like...
notice how you gather your body into positions that are shutting down
flow and openness and how you hold yourself there,
silencing the needs of the body.
how you hold yourself there too long,
too rigidly, too contained, too quiet, too hopeless, too chained
imagine the worlds you want to inhabit
we can usher them in
ways of working where you are
being your body
where our imagination is liberating, restoring, regenerating, reforming, rebuilding
the world

Weaving the World
We are side by side,
We are weaving the world.
Mapping the stars,
Connecting constellations.
Unraveling spirals
Collecting stories under turtles back
Following songlines back
To the old ways,
Gathering in amphitheater’s
For it’s all a stage.
All a story.
Making meaning
Of lived experience,
Holding space for the unspeakable
The unknowable, the unconscious
To come forth, to take shape
To come into expression
  Following trauma trails
Always returning home
To the body
This flesh, this vessel
  We feel it here,
Even though it didn’t start with us
But we carry a torch now
A torch for
 New ways
New narratives
New worlds
 To be illuminated.

Creating a collection, a temporary honouring of precious found objects.
From the Imprints project - Week 3 collections.
Excerpt from my own process 5/9/21
Allow yourself to experiment with form
You don’t have to arrive just yet…!
Everything is in the scene now, I feel happy, a sense of completion. This is enough for now.
***
Dialoguing with the collection -
Hello precious things! Dare I call you precious, dare I make you a part of my collection, my process.
Thank you, thank you for being here, being part of this landscape of finding and creating meaning…
You are so glorious, so fascinating.
I’m allowed to call you precious… not because I made you mine (you are not mine)
but because you chose me (for a time) and I honour you…
What wisdom to you have to share?
We take so many shapes and forms,
You need not fear loss, for our essence is everywhere.
When you honour us you honour the totality,
That’s is everything.
We will move and shift and change form.
You have us here for a moment in time,
To help you unpack
What you truly need.
To help you look inward and draw deeper in,
And to see that everything is always changing form,
But that everything is always ok.

Wisdom of Leaves
From a dialogue with found leaves - 2/9/21
Lots of tiny crack in us
Where the light shines through
Wind come blow us away
We are not with the tree
but we are a tree of our own
maybe we are cracked and broken, we still
have form have shaped
have sent have beauty
we have solid truck and brank
we have nor roots, means we can go anywhere
still dance with wind
dance with you in your hand
sway and bend agile
and strong like the tree
our mother
we do not fear breaking down
we are leaves for now
someday, some other form…
some other tree
some other me…
