"Warm and cozy" showed up on my Netflix so I'm watching that and I just laughed with delight seeing So Ji Sub in a guest role doing his "get lost" face wave thing from "Master's Sun"
Yeah I'm easily amused.

I love that the internet saw people comparing women and other alienated groups of people and went, “they’re dating,” and, “they support each other.” We’re improving as a society.

I'm in an animated holiday special called Christmas with Grubbs. It's currently streaming on YouTube.
Christmas with Grubbs is a heartwarming, animated, holiday special that takes a lot of inspiration from the classic cartoons I grew up watching this time of year, especially the Peanuts specials.
It’s adapted from Max Weaver’s comic about a little boy and his imaginary friend who keeps getting him into trouble (or who, more accurately, enables all of Grubbs' own Very Bad Ideas, because it's so much fun!) I get to voice the imaginary friend, Tyler, and it was even more fun than you think.
This is such a lovely, classic, heartwarming holiday special, that is perfect to watch with your kids. I’ve embedded the YouTube link below, where it’s freely available for everyone to watch and *cough* *cough* share with your friends and family so we have a better chance to be picked up for a full season.
I embedded the YouTube link at my blog. If this is interesting to you at all, I sincerely hope you love it!

Hey all 💜
I am not super active on here, but decided to make a post about this anyway after encouragement from a friend 💜
I know things are hella tough financially for everyone. Unfortunately, I've had a hard time working consistently due to mental and physical disabilities. Our landlord said he is filing for eviction on January 2nd. Any amount is helpful at this point! Please see the l!nk in bi0 for venmo or share if you can! 🙏🏻 I appreciate any help!

Me before watching "Love next door": This'll be nice and light just what I need
Me in the middle: sobbing like a baby because it rips out my heart.
Only 3 months ago my husband was diagnosed with cancer and he's been going through chemo. It's a lot uglier than dramas show of course. But this still gave me a hell to cry about while watching the drama. Didn't expect that.

I live in Germany and we naturally read the diary. Still there were students saying tht it wouldn't happen like this anymore. So our teacher then made is read "The wave" and we watched the movie to just to show how easily it can happen again anytime. That class module has been 30 years ago and it's still as important now as is has been back then if not more.

appalachia is devastated. towns i loved, towns i visited all the time, are gone. not damaged, GONE. they are leveled to the ground. there is nothing left but rubble and ruin. people are dead. appalachia is poor to begin with and relies on tourism for a lot of its income, and multiple of those tourist locations are just...gone.
my town is okay, but it's flooded and wrecked. trees are blocking all but one way out of our neighborhood. power lines are hanging limp in the roads. we've been without power for over 24 hours and will continue to be without power for likely another 24+. disabled people and poor people are GOING to die from this. gods save appalachia.

we go through this every hurricane season but the way people will find any excuse to point the finger at the victims of natural disasters and say cruel shit like "fuck around and find out" like it's not horrifying having to leave behind your home and all your belongings and potentially your pets with the full knowledge that there might not be anything to come back to after... ignoring that there are people that don't have a car or the money to evacuate, ignoring disabled people who have no way to get out, ignoring people that can't find places for their pets to shelter, ignoring people that have medical equipment that can't be moved or replaced, etc... and even if someone stays behind solely because they want to, they still don't deserve to suffer.
as someone who worked extensively in disaster response previously, it is not easy to "just" evacuate, and the relief that comes afterwards is intentionally difficult to obtain. and already the forces that be are trying to spin this narrative that the victims are at fault, to put the blame on them so that if (probably when) people are forced to resort to looting (because the aid never comes) everyone will nod and agree that they're all bad people and deserved it... rather than acknowledging the fact that there was no attempt to make the evacuation accessible and safe for everyone, no guarantee that aid will be waiting for them when they return to a home that has been swept away... no empathy for the fact that these people's entire lives are potentially destroyed with no safety net to catch them.
