Rounding out the year with old man yaoi had not been on my bingo card, but here we are.

I realized I never got around to draw adult bunny from Post Covid and I totally regret that cos they're so fun to draw! Also, drawing Kenny as a chubby man is so cathartic, my boy deserves the pounds!!! (and good anatomy practice to boot)

I also threw in some other sketches cos I think I wont finish them and it would be a waste to let em rot, I do like how they turned out. Also, if you recognize the one with Mysterion and Chaos sitting back to back, then you’re a real og here.

I need more content of Kenny getting the adorable pouty type of jealous over someone else flirting with Butters. No weird alpha male aggression, just him getting stupid and doing something extreme to impress Butters harder than anyone else can, like drinking gasoline or something

Ok, I lied, not rounding the year off with old man yaoi but a whole SP dump.

And actually got something special here, cos I got around to making fandesigns for @mantequillamcwhoremick 's fanfic Chaos Plan! (you can read it on AO3, he goes by helioleti there). It's a really intriguing story, so be sure to check it out!!!! Anways, we've got to talking which led to brain storming the looks of Mysterion and Professor Chaos in his story, and the brain juices were flowing so freely I just had to put it down on (digital) paper. I also got to play around with the rough brush as a sketch pen and gotta say, it's really fun.

Also including my own designs for Professor Chaos and Mysterion. The lightning in Butters' eyes is gonna be permanent now ahsjkds

i wish i had enough words to describe how i feel about their interactions in this episode at this particular moment. like how they hold hands, how the usually sweet kid butters gets angry and roughly pulls his hand out of Kenny's hand & the way Kenny takes his hand back, and how kenny covers butters' mouth when he starts yelling. how caring kenny is with butters and how butters, even though he was mad the whole episode, never snapped at kenny. they are so dear to me 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

bro i'm never getting over this moment. The little beat Kenny's face goes from neutral, to :( after seeing Butters cry. The soundtrack kicking in to play over it. It's so short yet so significant. I'm losing my mind

Kenny came to help Butters out of a general sense of responsibility, (as Butters' "best friend', apparently the only one who can rescue Butters from doing something stupid) but in this moment that turns into genuine compassion. He could just as well have reacted like *sigh* in this moment, like he did after Cartman said "Yeah, Mr. Perfect, go rescue Butters so he can lick your balls some more" and Kenny resigned himself to step up and give it a try. But here, instead, they had him get sad. He genuinely feels for Butters

Idk how deep this scene was meant to be, and how telling it was supposed to be of their dynamic, but this is definitely incredibly telling for Kenny's character. How genuine compassion ends up being the drive for everything Kenny does, both that and his very mature way to take on responsibility (for a 10 year old kid, especially).

But also I like to think that Kenny might see a little bit of himself in Butters; A kid, left alone to face an incredibly difficult situation with zero guidance, no one looking after him. Especially not his parents. So he takes Butters' hand without a second thought and helps him carry his luggage, trying to take him back home. And when Butters argues against it, that this is what he needs to do, Kenny takes him seriously (something people very rarely do with Butters) and changes plans to help him. He's not dead set on helping Butters the way his friends told him to; He's now stepping up to help Butters the way Butters says he needs.
