She's a wounded gazelle

Who stepped in a trap of her own making

And it clings deep into her

With a blood trail running miles back

Just as she faulters, her fears take over

And she takes a carniverous form

So if she will go

Then so will anyone she can sink teeth into

Fighting, thrashing, running, dying

And in her suffering

She is what she was always meant to be

The king of her jungle

Dominating the plants

An abomination, matted in blood

With every step she brings rot

Her hooves are a steady beacon

For the damned, only she communes

Amongst a green graveyard

Littered with the corpses of old friends

A beautiful, lonely beast

In an ever-shifting nightmare

Only deeper and deeper into the folliage

Down winding paths

To nowhere, a place she calls home

There is no going back now

It seeps into every crevice of your mind

Waking, unwaking and in between

Where time stops and you simply watch

As you walk on by

With your killer in your hand

There is no escaping this feeling

It's the best thing you've ever had

No dream will be without it

When you're in it's arms

Nothing else could matter

We see all walks of life stop in their tracks

Doctors and scoundrels

Like being strapped to a time bomb

Their happiness becomes terminal

And all they can damn is theirselves

For going too far

For taking that first hit

For sharing that first glance

It defies the senses in a perfectly alien way

And it's like swallowing a delayed poison

It's love for a price
