Hello dear Citizens and K fans! Let me just say a thank you to some of the new names coming up in the tag, because there’s a lot of new posters who are actually sourcing their art! It’s awesome to see more credited posts than not these days.

However…

I’m going in to reblog you guys’ posts and coming across this a lot. This block is on the artist’s main page, a little below their works gallery. I have my browser set to translate automatically so that I can read notices like this and can’t encourage you guys enough to do the same.

These artists are not asking much. They want you enjoy their art privately, but not distribute it to other sites. They put hours, sometimes days of hard effort into their pieces. Many are professional artists selling their work at conventions or in doujins. Even sourced, even when you add “Please rate the artist!” to your posts, this is still a disservice to the artist. And leads to this:

These are all screencaps I’ve taken from posts that have been made to the K Project tag in the past week. They’re by no means all of them and it’s become exhausting checking every post before deciding to reblog them. Most fans will be exicted to see a sourced post and just go with it - and they should as casual bloggers. Again, I’m stoked to see that is happening! But since you care so much about the artists to have done this much, another second to check that box on the artist’s page as you grab their URL to link to them would mean the world to the artists involved.
