I just discovered this gem from 1998 & felt the need to share it—I hadn’t heard too many other instances of Kamiya using a more natural-sounding girl’s voice, so this was fun to hear!
Rough translation under the cut. If you catch any errors, please let me know!
Machiko: Okay! This segment is always done with our female guests.
Hiroko: Is that so?
M: Today, our guest is Hiroko-chan!
H-ko: Yup, understood!
M: Okay, Hiroko-chan, for this segment, we’ll be reading listener letters.
H-ko: Okay!
M: You’ll be answering the questions too.
H-ko: Got it.
M: Today’s letter is from ___. “Machi-rin, Kamiya Hiroko-chan, good evening!”
H-ko & M: Good evening!
M: “Why do girls like to gossip? Please tell me, Machi-rin!”
HiroC (normal voice): Why?
M: Oh my gosh, Hiroko-chan! Are you okay? Did you catch a cold?
HiroC: It’s too much! It’s tiring me!
M: What happened? So sudden. Come back, Hiroko-chan!
H-ko: I’m back~
M: Hiroko-chan, you scared me! Did you catch a cold?
H-ko: No, I didn’t.
M: Hiroko-chan, do you like gossip?
H-ko: No, not at all.
M: Why not?
H-ko: Hmm, well…
M: [laughs] I quite enjoy it.
H-ko: Really? I’d have to say I don’t really like when people gossip.
M: But there is a lot of gossip about you, Hiroko-chan!
HiroC: [laughing] Watch it, or else!

I finally got my hands on the Kotonoha no Hana -Tanpenshuu- bonus CD! Like the other sequels, these tracks are adapted from stories in the Kotonoha Dayori anthology, this one specifically from “Kotonoha Birthday.” Please enjoy this clip of Yomura Kazuaki (cv Kamiya Hiroshi) and Hasebe Shuuichi (cv Ono Daisuke) having some birthday fun (ノ´ヮ`)ノ*: ・゚

In Episode 332 of DGS, HiroC and OnoD talk about setting voices as ringtones and alarms, and this hilarious exchange ensues. Note: Clefairy’s Japanese name is Pippi.
A rough translation is below the cut—if you spot anything incorrect or missing, please let me know!
HiroC: Once, I had a Pokémon-themed alarm clock. A Clefairy one.
OnoD: Clefairy!
C: That pink one.
D: It suddenly appeared, didn’t it?
C: Yeah, back then, I really liked Pokémon—well, I still like it now—but I got Pikachu and Clefairy alarm clocks to wake myself up in the morning.
D: [laughing] That’s adorable.
C: But! It was super scary! Waking up to other people’s voices.
D: Oh, I see, this is related to that earlier topic.
C: Yeah. The Clefairy alarm had a voice that went PI-PI-PI-PIII— PI-PI-PI!
D: Ohh, I see.
C: That really scared me.
D: Why??
C: It’s scary, isn’t it!
D: [laughs] You’re scared of that?? Scared it would suddenly become sentient?
C: Yeah! So being woken up by ringtones like that is very scary to me. I’d be so scared that I’d wake up an hour before it rings.
D: [laughs] That’s—
C: “It’s going to ring!”
D: [laughing] “It’s going to ring!”
C: “It’s ringing!”
[laughter]
D: Well, maybe that feeling is related to our profession?
C: It’s possible...
D: Then how about I stay over at your place?
C: Huh?
D: When you need to get up, Kamiya-san, I’ll use my voice to wake you.
C: [in a gruff voice] “Oi! Wake up!”
D: More like, uhh, you know— PI-PI-PI-PI-PI-PIII! [laughs]
C: [laughs] So noisy! And what if you don’t wake up early enough in the first place?
D: So it would be an hour before you need to wake up, when my own alarm would go BRRRRING!
C: But wouldn’t that wake me up too!?
D: Then please don’t wake up yet. Please observe the situation first.
C: That’s impossible. Then when your alarm goes BRRRRING, Ono-kun, I’ll pick up your alarm and throw it at your face with a CRASH!
D: WHAM! I’ll be awake, then, wouldn’t I? Then I’ll go PI-PI-PI-PI-PI-PIII!
C: [laughing] So noisy!
D: Then you could wake up. And so my mission would be accomplished.
C: Eh?? So your bell-type alarm will ring first...
D: Yes, it rings first.
C: And I wake up an hour before I need to...
D: Yes, an hour before.
C: And then I stop the alarm and pick it up and throw it at your face.
D: As expected.
C: And as expected, you will wake up. And then what?
D: My nose bleeds.
C: Your nose bleeds? And then?
D: And then I go PI-PI-PI-PI-PI-PIII!—
C: And then I’ll wake with a “Huh!?”
D: —PI-PI-PI-PIII!—
C: No, no, this won’t do.
D: —PI-PI... And then I go back to sleep.
C: Back to sleep, for another hour. [laughing] Don’t be ridiculous.
D: So how’s that?
C: Why do you have to wake me up an hour early? It makes no sense.

From gonebonker’s post of Sugita’s imitation of Kamiya sneezing, it reminded me back during the 2nd Seiyuu Awards behind the scenes, there was a small moment when he sneezed in the background ^^;;

Reload Free-Talk: “Love Me”
A shorter clip I attempted to translate (with the aid of Chinese subs) from the Reload free-talk CD.
In which OnoD is tasked with saying some final thoughts about the work, but it ends up sounding like some kind of messy love confession.
(If you spot anything missing or glaringly incorrect, please lmk!)
OnoD: About working on Reload… umm, really... uhh... reading the lines... was tedious. It was so hard. The lines just never seemed to end no matter how much I read.
All: [laughing] True.
D: Well, there were many monologues... but... it was still fun, actually.
All: Ooh.
D: But I think I felt... stoic?... [getting quieter] Well, right now... I am monologuing, so I wonder... if I seem cool… uhh... When I’m like this... love me...
[laughter]
HiroC: Please stop looking at me with a face like you’re asking for help.
D: Yes, I do always do this.
C: Please deal with it yourself?
D: [firmly] Yes. [pained laughing] Uhh… Umm... I did... my best.
C: [laughs]
D: Although I monologue for very long, I hope everyone listens to every line. I had fun putting my all into Reload. Thank you very much for listening.
[Note: These closing remarks are even funnier in context because HiroC had just given his own final thoughts in his usual hyper-fast talking speed right before OnoD’s turn. I also shared only a few OnKm bits—the rest of the free-talk is also pretty great.]

Reload Free-Talk: Uke or Seme?
I checked out Reload, but didn’t enjoy it as much as the Kotonoha no Hana series, especially in terms of the story and the H scenes. HiroC & OnoD both play aggressive roles—while HiroC sounds pretty good (he uses the same low voice he uses for Levi), OnoD really tries to convey the reluctance & pain in his character’s submission. I peeked at another of OnoD’s uke works, and he uses a softer, more natural voice in that one, so I don’t think it’s the case that he can’t play uke roles lol.
Anyway, I ended up finding the free-talk CD a lot more entertaining. Here’s my attempt to translate (with the aid of Chinese subs) a clip in which HiroC asks the other three seiyuu (OnoD, Hirarin, Taiten) whether they’re seme or uke.
(If you spot anything missing or glaringly incorrect, please lmk!)
HiroC: This must be asked—are you personally an uke or a seme?
Taiten: [laughing] This will definitely mess with our reputations.
HiroC: [sternly] It’s a question that can’t be skipped!
All: Can’t be skipped.
HiroC: It’s a difficult question, more difficult than the previous ones.
OnoD: [immediately] I’m an uke.
HiroC: An uke?
OnoD: Yeah.
HiroC: Is it better to receive?
OnoD: It is better. It’s less effort.
HiroC: Ah... I can understand that, because I just don’t know.
OnoD: Know what?
HiroC: How to be a seme.
Taiten: You can’t be a seme unless you’re quick-witted.
All: Ah, is that so?
Taiten: Yeah, yeah—you have to think about the next developments and how to make the partner feel good. And you can’t care only about your own enjoyment. People who care only about that are S. [Note: Sadistic (S) vs. masochistic (M) is a (not necessarily sexual) personality categorization in Japan.]
HiroC: Wait, hold on—
Hirarin: S??
Taiten: As for me? I’m S.
[laughter]
HiroC: Taiten-san, why aren’t you listening to what we’re talking about?? You didn’t listen to the question at all!
Taiten: [defiantly] I’m just someone who doesn’t listen!
[laughter & crosstalk]
HiroC: Hirakawa-kun, what about you? If you had to choose.
Hirarin: I guess I’d be... an uke?
HiroC: An uke, after all!
Taiten: So is everyone an uke?
HiroC: If I had to choose, I’d have to say I’m also an uke too, because I just don’t know...
OnoD: No, no, no. But I’ve felt pretty good.
HiroC: From what?
OnoD: Kamiya-san.
All: Huh??
OnoD: Kamiya-san’s… uhh… how should I put this?
HiroC: ... Seme?
OnoD: Seme qualities?
HiroC: Ah... you mean earlier in the drama CD?
OnoD: Well… no, no—
Taiten: You are talking about the CD, right? The role?
HiroC: The role, or in real life.
[crosstalk]
OnoD: Kamiya-san is... well... impressive—harsh, decisive.
HiroC: [laughing] What do you mean?
OnoD: Decisive. You convey unprecedented decisiveness.
HiroC: [laughing] What is this now? Are you copying from something?
OnoD: Well, you kept forcing me to look at those illustrations.
HiroC: Ah... because I thought you wouldn’t understand what’s going on, Ono-kun.
OnoD: And you drew weird things on my script.
HiroC: Ah...
OnoD: A lot of them.
HiroC: Mhm...
OnoD: What was that? Well... you’re good at it!
Taiten: Why don’t you just date already, the two of you??
HiroC: [muttering very flatly] Those were just his delusions—I did absolutely none of that. What illustrations did I show Ono-kun? There’s no such thing.
OnoD: [quietly] I’ve been humiliated…
HiroC: [nervous] Uhh... umm… moving along!
OnoD: [laughs] Moving along.

Kotonoha no Hana Free-Talk: Dokidoki?
In which OnoD confesses that recording with HiroC makes his heart pound. Rough translation below the cut.
[ Intro Post ] • [ Clip 1 ] • [ Clip 2 ] • [ Clip 3 ]
OnoD: Let’s do one more question. Is there a difference recording with someone you’re meeting for the first time, versus someone you already know? [chuckles pointedly]
HiroC: [laughing] Of course there is.
D: There is, isn’t there?
C: There is.
D: It makes your heart pound doesn’t it?
C: Yeah, it can.
D: However, my heart sometimes pounds harder when I’m working with someone I know. [Note: This is the fastest he talks in the whole thing.]
C: Hm? Like when?
D: Huh? Like today, of course!
C: Ah...
[background music stops abruptly]
C: What's with this pause??
[laughter]
D: Because... actually, Kamiya-san, you and I talk during our radio show.
C: Free-talk too, like now.
D: Free-talk too, but surprisingly not much outside.
C: True, that’s true. Not much, huh? Not much, after all. Only for anime, I guess. This is our first time, talking like this for a drama CD.
D: Right?
C: Overall.
D: My heart is really pounding right now.
C: Ah, really?
D: Yeah.
C: Well, I haven’t given you much thought, Ono-kun, so I’m feeling okay.
D: Is that so? [playfully] I want to read what your heart is really saying! What are you actually thinking right now? I want to know!
[laughter]
D: But anyway, it’s only because hearts can’t be read, that this turned out well.
C: Right?
D: Many things are like that.
C: Yeah, I think so too.
D: [??]
C: Mhm.
D: Yeah... What do you think? In the end, Kamiya-san—
C: Yes, what is it?
D: Kamiya-san, do you want to read my heart?
C: No, no, not at all.
D: Is that so... [chuckles nervously]
C: [laughs] Well, I don’t want to read anyone’s heart!
D: Hmm, hmm.
C: But if it’s possible, if people could read each other’s hearts, what would life be like? This story offers an answer to that question. Maybe some people really want to read other people’s hearts. But if they do get the ability, it might turn out this way. Would it bring happiness, or pain? Everyone would have different takes on it, right?
D: That’s true, there are many ways to look at it. In a CD drama—
C: Definitely.
D: This was a great concept to adapt into a CD drama.
C: Yeah. Mhm. That's very true.
D: I think so too.
C: Yeah.
D: Yeah... Well, if I could read hearts, I would use that power for... bad things. That’s all. Uhh...
C: [laughing] This guy is no good...
D: [laughs] We have reached the end. This was the Kotonoha no Hana Bonus CD: Falling Flowers, Flowing Water. This is where we have to say goodbye to everyone. If there is another opportunity to meet everyone like this, I hope it would flow smoothly. Like jozen mizuno gotoshi. Well then, goodbye for now. This is Ono Daisuke.
C: [laughing] This is Kamiya Hiroshi. Goodbye!

Kotonoha no Hana Free-Talk: Practicing in Public
In which HiroC demonstrates how he practices for BLCDs. Rough translation below the cut.
[ Intro Post ] • [ Clip 1 ] • [ Clip 2 ] • [ Clip 3 ]
HiroC: Ono-san, from earlier until now... You know how there’s an outline for the free-talk?
OnoD: Yes, there is an outline.
C: You haven’t looked at it at all.
D: Ignored it completely.
C: Yeah, you weren’t looking at all.
D: The reason is, if I just read from that... we can’t really call it “talk,” can we? Our livelihood depends on talk, doesn’t it? It’s Kotonoha no Ha, afte— HaNA, after all. [laughs; whispering] ... I stumbled. What should I do??... [reading from outline] Umm... Between the time you got the lines and the time of recording— Oh, we already did this one. Then... What kind of practice do you do?
C: [laughs]
D: How have you always practiced for BL works, for these CD dramas? What kind of practice do you do? Do you practice out loud, Kamiya-san?
C: [cracking up] Yes, I do. Do you, Ono-san?
D: Eh?
C: Do you practice out loud, Ono-san?
D: Yeah, I do too.
C: Ah, you do too?
D: Yes, with all my might!
C: Mhm.
D: Mhm... Hm?
C: I see.
D: Mhm. Wait, but didn’t you say earlier that you go over your lines at the restaurant?
C: That’s true. Well, sounds aren’t everything in this field, right?
D: True.
C: So as long as I keep my volume down, it’s okay.
D: Mhm, I see.
C: When I need to make certain sounds, I’ll do this.
D: Ah.
C: Ah.
[These sounds repeat a few more times lol.]
D: I see.
C: In order to not let other people hear, so they don’t get grossed out, I have to be quiet.
D: [playfully] That’s true.
C: Like this. It’s hard to explain without visuals.
D: Oh, that just now—
C: I place my hands over my mouth and ear. This way, see how my voice would just go straight into my ear?
D: I see. Now, it’s like connecting your mouth straight to your ear.
C: Yeah, it kind of looks like talking on the phone.
D: Mhm, it does.
C: [simultaneous w/ next line] Everything I say just goes straight to my ear.
D: [simultaneous w/ prev line] Ah, Kamiya-san, you do that when recording sometimes too.
C: Right, right. When I do this, everything I say goes straight into my ear. That way I can hear myself as I practice.
D: [laughs] Doesn’t that look suspicious though, especially in a restaurant?
C: Yeah, it could. It looks like talking on the phone.
D: But you’re not holding a phone.
C: Right, right, there’s no phone. I also practice on the train!
D: Seriously??
C: I do.
D: You do...
C: Yeah, I do.
D: Huh? How do you practice on the train? Wouldn’t other people give you weird looks?
C: Well, I wear a mask.
D: Ah, I see.
C: It’s safe.
D: [laughs] So on top of the mask, do you cover your mouth and ear too?
C: Yeah. But this part is hard to explain. You know how close you need to be to hear people talk? Right now there’s one meter between you and me, Ono-kun. On the train, even if I’m sitting right next to you— [goes over to OnoD]
D: Oh! He’s coming over! He’s over here now.
C: —and I go, [mumbling] “Something something something,” what can you hear?
D: I might think... you’re talking on the phone.
C: Ahh. But you're not allowed to talk on the phone on the train.
D: But there would be background noise around you, right?
C: That’s right. So it’s surprisingly hard to be found out by people on the train.
D: Ah, I see...
C: This is how I’ve planned it.
D: I’m like that too. Not for lines, but for practicing character songs. I like to practice aloud outside.
C: [laughs] You can’t restrain yourself, huh?
D: [laughs] No, I can’t. For songs, when I’m not thinking too hard about the melody, I would hum. [hums briefly] You know? But lately, wasn’t there that project with that show with a CD that we did together? That one song, that one dumbest song, I practiced that too. I’ve sung the dumbest song’s dumbest line, out loud, very loudly. [laughs]
C: Why?
D: When I was taking a walk in the park, I thought there wouldn’t be people around.
C: With fewer people at night?
D: The lake— Wait no, not the lake. What’s it called? The pond! [laughs]
C: [laughs] Parks don’t have lakes.
D: Yeah, parks don’t have lakes.
C: But you could say lakes might have parks.
D: So on the bank of the pond, on the steps leading down, there was a couple.
C: Ah, being lovey-dovey?
D: Yeah, being all lovey-dovey. [quietly] It made me sick.
C: [laughs] Mind your own business.
D: They left though.
C: Ah, because a weirdo came along.
D: I was singing, “Gachisa~”
C: Ah. A weirdo singing a weirdo song, doing weirdo things. A weirdo doing weirdo things.
D: But, come to think of it, there aren’t many places to practice.
C: Yeah, just our own homes. I think some people practice in private karaoke booths though.
D: Really? Practicing lines in a karaoke booth sounds scary. Attendants walk in often.
C: Well... you can just ignore them, right?
D: It’s like an intervention.
C: True. [laughs] But I wouldn’t go. I usually practice at home.
D: At home, and at—
Both: —the restaurant, and on the train.
D: [laughs] Are all seiyuu like this? Probably not.
C: It depends on the person, right? Some people have to say their lines properly out loud.
D: True, true. For me, I guess I’m the type who needs to practice out loud. It really depends on the person, doesn’t it?
C: It does.
D: Yeah.

Kotonoha no Hana Free-Talk: "You’re Yomura!”
In which OnoD tries really hard to draw parallels between the roles and the seiyuu themselves. Rough translation below the cut.
[ Intro Post ] • [ Clip 1 ] • [ Clip 2 ] • [ Clip 3 ]
OnoD: But that’s the same as usual, isn’t it? I’m, well, a man of few words. How should I put it? Pure?... Like jozen mizuno gotoshi. [Note: A Chinese saying about how water flows smoothly without conflict. Also a sake brand.]
HiroC: Ah...
D: Right?
C: Yeah, sure.
D: So... I think I’m very similar to my character.
C: [stifling laughter] Ah, is that so? Ono-kun—
D: I’m more hotblooded inside!
C: Oh, really?
D: Mhm. My feelings... will grow wings... and fly away... a grand and magnificent image—
C: Just now, I was able to read Ono-kun’s heart.
D: What?
C: When Ono-kun couldn’t look me in the eyes as he talked, that meant he knew he was going off-topic.
[laughter]
D: [dramatic] Whoa, you’re good.
[laughter]
C: I got it right?
D: You’re... Yomura! You’re Yomura, aren’t you?
[laughter]
D: But really though.
C: Yeah?
D: Umm... When we were recording, I did mention...
C: What?
D: Well, I think it’s perfect for you, Kamiya-san!
C: What is this??
D: The role of Yomura-kun.
C: Really??
D: Mhm.
C: Well, isn’t it rare to be able to hear people’s thoughts? It’s an ability that many people want to have, but Yomura really hates it.
D: That’s true.
C: He hates it so much that he wants to get rid of it, but when he does, he faces a harsh reality—
D: That’s true. He gains perspective.
C: He’s 29, right?
D: Mhm, mhm.
C: Well, I think what he achieved at that age is quite impressive.
D: But many characters gain perspective, right?
C: True, but there’s still so much turmoil in his heart. If all of that was expressed through monologues, this would’ve been a very dark story.
D: Yeah, that’s true.
C: Right, right. So that aspect was hard to grasp.
D: That’s true. So it wasn’t that dark, in the end... Some parts were actually quite refreshing.
C: Well, yeah—
D: The changes in mood restore everything.
C: Sometimes it can feel like watching other people’s affairs.
D: Yeah, that reminds me of you, Kamiya-san.
C: [laughing] Is that so?
D: Mhm. Sometimes it’s like you can suddenly leave this realm and look down at all of us... from a bird’s-eye view... It’s impressive—
C: Isn’t that only at you though, Ono-kun?
D: Only me?
C: [laughs] You’re the only one I look down at.
D: I see! [laughs] ... Well, that’s it.
[laughter]

OnKm: Kotonoha no Hana Free-Talk
I’m really late to the OnKm fandom, but I’m having so much fun digging up old content. Sadly couldn’t find much in English, so I’m doing all the digging in Chinese. That’s how I discovered the Kotonoha no Hana bonus free-talk CD, which is an absolute joy.
A brief explanation for newer fans like myself: Kotonoha no Hana was the first BL drama CD that Ono Daisuke & Kamiya Hiroshi starred in together, and it was recorded back in 2007, the first year of their radio show DGS. OnoD leads this 23-minute free-talk, and the energy is just completely different from DGS, in order to match the drama CD itself—it’s soft, and the background music is very cooperative. There’s plenty of flirting, and OnoD almost sounds genuinely flustered a few times and it’s just adorable.
I wanted to share some cute parts since I couldn’t find a full translation of the free-talk, so I’ve translated these clips to the best of my ability (based on my limited Japanese & with the aid of Chinese subs here). If you spot anything incorrect or missing, let me know!
Story context: In Kotonoha no Hana (lit. “the flowers of language”), Yomura Kazuaki (HiroC) can read people’s minds (”hearts” in Japanese) and thus finds out that a very honest younger colleague, Hasebe Shuuichi (OnoD), is in love with him.

HEADPHONES ALERT: Wanna hear some Eruri makeout? Here’s for you!
From the BLCD ‘Kotonoha no Hana’ Here’s the translation if some of you are interested.[The translation isn’t by me, credits to Nanomai]
Hasebe: I knew it, you aren‘t surprised at all … I wonder why you seem to know everything … I want to kiss you. I want to touch you. I won‘t lie to you anymore … so may I … ?
He was an honest man. The more I tried to know his real feelings, the more I realize how honest he is, and the more attracted to him I become.
Yomura: Hasebe-kun …
Hasebe: (I want to touch it, Yomura-san‘s body…) Yomura-san. (I want to touch you) Yomura-san … can‘t I?
Yomura: … no …
Hasebe: (They‘re small but they‘re his nipples indeed.)
Yomura: No… I can‘t…
Hasebe: Ah! I‘m sorry. I got carried away … Did it hurt?
Yomura: That‘s not it … but…
Hasebe: Yomura-san. Yours…is hot. Are you feeling it?
Yomura: No. This is… Hasebe-kun! Please, turn off the lights–
Hasebe: Please let me see your face.
Hasebe: Yomura-san, does it feel good?
I feel like I‟m melting. I can hear wet sounds coming from the lower body half of my body. My shirt works up with every time movement I make. His gaze down is hot.
Hasebe: (Yomura-san… Making a face like that…)
Yomura: That‘s… because it feels good…
Hasebe: Eh? … It feels good?
Yomura: Aaah …
Hasebe: Is it here?
Yomura: Touch me… here…
Yomura: …already…
Hasebe: (He wants to come. Yomura-san. Yomura-san… He‘s so cute.)
Yomura: Don‘t say that … please….
Hasebe: What? (How cute…)
Yomura: That. Don‘t say tha- … Hasebe-kun. You too.
Hasebe: I love you. I love you. Yomura-san, I love you. (What about you, Yomura-san?)
I didn‟t know how to answer. I don‟t dislike him. I might even like him. But this feeling was only possible because I knew he was in love with me.

More hot treats for Eruri, Levi and Irvin Smith fans!
You liked so much the first Eruri audio file I posted here so please, have some more!
This audio clip is also from Kotonoha no Hana yaoi drama CD, performed by Irvin’s voice actor Daisuke Ono and Levi’s voice actor Hiroshi Kamiya. It’s pretty much “oops, there goes my panties”-dream come true.
Note that this audio clip is R-18, for a good reason. Putting your headphones on is highly recommended if you don’t want to explain why the Corporal is moaning in your room.
