5 Reasons Why: His Death meant Nothing

[Warning: This Blog contains spoilers for Final Fantasy XIV, If you do not wish for any parts to be ruined for you please do not continue reading…You have been officially warned]

Greetings Everyone and welcome to another 5 Reasons Why with yours truly, Soul and today we look at one of the final moments of the last Expansion, Heavensward, when we said Goodbye to Papalymo after his sacrifice to save Eorzea...And list 5 reasons this meant absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.

1. Out of all the members of the Scion, He was not really important - That’s right come at me Papa fans but you know it to be true - A majority of people only tolerated him because he was friends with Yda and since she is one of the more popular members it was kind of the package deal, she came to the party but he had to be invited to.

2. He served no real role in the story - I am not joking, if you did not start in Gridania then you literally didn’t see Papalymo in ANY major moments of the game up until he last parts of the story and his final moments so it just goes to show just how unimportant him no longer being a part of it all really is.

3. His Death feels more like an Eviction - This would pretty much sum it all up for me really, Papalymo was such an ill valued character that you could call all this his “in game sacking” since the Scions were rebuilding they needed to release some members to finance their regrowth and Papalymo was the clear choice in this matter.

4. The “YDA” Revelation meant more -  Do not deny it folks, I guarantee a large majority of FFXIV players were more shocked by the revelation that the Yda before us all this time was an imposter and the original Yda (who we never met) actually died 6 years previously that it is incredible to think that Papalymo death was literally like 3 scenes before this yet it might as well have been in A Realm Reborn days because we had moved on from it so quickly.

5. They will bring him back - Yep that is the kicker of all of this, They teased it with Louisoix in the past about finding a way to bring him back or “find him” once more that you just know that it is going to come to a point they discover there IS a way but they may only return one back to the living (or whatever) and after much deliberation and probably intervention from Louisoix they bring Papalymo back. Yes It is a cope out but considering everything else that has happened in the game, tell me that this would not be possible in any way shape or form.

Whenever I consider whether or not I should change from being a Lalafell I just bring out a minion and all of my doubts are washed away in an instant :D You can keep having your minions sitting on your shoulders...Nothing will beat how adorable it looks to have one sitting or holding onto my lil Lala head <3

Do not say anything is impossible, there is no such thing as IMPOSSIBLE  I decided to go on an Aquapolis run with this 7 fine warriors of light, we had never teamed up before and yet on our first attempt we got into an Aquapolis which is a tiny miracle in of itself. What is a “Impossible” feat is that we managed to run ALL 7 floors on our first attempt - We defied the probability of Luck and made it through... So whenever someone tells you that something is impossible you tell them from me “Its only impossible if you are a quitter...And I don’t think you look like a Quitter do you?”

5 Reasons Why Tataru Taru SHOULD be the new Leader of the Scions

[Warning: This Blog contains spoilers for Final Fantasy XIV, If you do not wish for any parts to be ruined for you please do not continue reading…You have been officially warned] Tataru Taru - The Adorable little Lalafell who is the first to greet you when you arrive at the headquarters of the Scions has grown so much over the last few years in the game easily becoming one of fans most beloved characters in the entire game and it is easy to see why. Recently the Scions suffered a huge loss when their Leader, Minfilia pretty much took on a new role as Hydaelyn spokeswoman whilst the light crystal tries to regain its strength leaving the group needing to promote someone to the role and they even teased that this should go to Tataru. And I am here to give FIVE good reasons why I think Miss Taru is indeed the best candidate for the job.

1. Tataru embodies everything the Scions are meant to be - When all seems lost within the group it is her who stands up tall to be a beacon of hope for everyone else including you, the player.

This is exactly what Minfilia was and what the Scions desperately need right now - To be the hope of Eorzea they need someone who can give them hope when all in looking lost and no one else does this better than her.

2. Who else knows the ins and out of the Scions better - I mean seriously you got to remember that Tataru is first and foremost the receptionist, she is the one who records EVERY aspect to what goes on with the group in detail and probably has gotten to know details of every member that the rest do not even know.

If there is anyone who could literally figure out the best person to go on a particular mission to get the best results for the team then clearly this is the one.

3. She is a good Leader deep down - Let us be honest, I am sure a lot of players will say that Tataru is not a good candidate because she gets emotional at times and being effected like that is not befitting of a Leader… But I disagree. We have seen her at her lowest, when she fought she had lost so many of her friends after the Ul’dah incident but when most would have given up hope it was Tataru who kept moving forward trying to find out as much information as she could about any leads that could help towards relocating her friends whilst making sure she didn’t let anyone who was trying to find the remaining members discover where they were.

Yeah sure she cries but she cries cos she cares and that is the kind of person I would happily pledge my loyalty to if I had the options.

4. She is the Face of the Scions anyway… Make it Official -  I mean I know its a dumb reason but let us be fair, Out of all the members of the Scions she is probably the most beloved if you did a poll so why not just make her the face that runs the place :D

Out of all the members of the group I tend to find the interactions you get to have with Miss Taru to be the most interesting, entertaining and most emotional ones in the game and I would love to get the opportunity to have more of those in the upcoming Bloodstorm Expansion.

5. She is a Jack of all trades - This is possibly the part a lot of players may have forgotten about our lovable Lalafell - She actually has a lot of skills compared to all the other members of the team which makes her possibly the biggest asset to the organisation than anyone else. Her skills as both a Miner and a Weaver will provide the group with all the funding they need to keep afloat and have the resources needed to make them stronger (plus imagine if she became a legit fashion designer with all the cool designs she made at the end of Heavensward $_$) And it is not like she is vulnerable, She is an Summoner in training and with her determination I think she is going to become a fine one when we next see her in the upcoming expansion just you wait and see.

FFTV: CRIBS

Hello FFTV and welcome to my Crib!!

I currently reside in the beautiful Goblet Residential area in the Sultana Breath Apartments near to my hometown of Ul’dah where I was born and raised all those years ago by my dear sweet mama and papa... God Rest their souls *Bows head* Firstly you may have noticed the interior of my apartment - The Walls are of an Alpine design which I thought matched perfectly with my very luxurious Marble flooring which cost a pretty GIL but the results certainly speak for themselves don’t you agree?

Let us start off by taking a quick tour of my living room - As you can see I have an impressive sitting arrangement made with TWO South Sea Sofas placed side by side to create somewhere for myself and my wonderful guests to sit and talk about our days. In front of us is this beautiful Deluxe Manor Fireplace which gives the apartment a warm and inviting feel which is always essential to turn any kind of building into your home in my opinion.

OK this is one of my favourite items in my apartment and I can honestly say that if you are planning on owning your own apartment or even house then you need to find a way to own your very own Orchestrion because just the simple pleasure of coming home to some of Eorzea beautiful music is just something I can not begin to explain why but it makes the atmosphere here so much better.

And if you are wondering what my playlist is...Here you go, I personally think these are the best currently some may disagree but everyone is entitled to their own unique opinions and tastes This just happens to be mine 

Around my apartment hangs the portraits of some of the most important people I have had the pleasure of interacting with and meeting during my adventures - From the leaders of the three territories to Minfilia who was in charge of the scions when I first joined to Haurchefant who...I’d rather not talk about that, its still too soon for us all right now.

To the Left of my apartment is where my two lovely assistance work, I know a lot of people who take theirs and just put them to work in such cramped spaces...But not me - These girls deserved only the best I could give them as they look after my home whilst I am out so I paid no expense to give them this set up right here. First of all is this beautiful Guildleve counter which spans the entire corner of the room to give my two assistance all the space and room they could possibly want to do their tasks. In front of the desk is my summoning bell and Crystal bell where I can either call upon one of my 5 servants who take care of all of my resources, materials or riches for me so that I do not lose or waste any of it or I can call upon that freaky hairdresser who may be essentric to say the least but god lord does he know how to style someone hair perfectly * puffs up hair*  Behind them is my Deadwyrm “Miniature” No clue why they call it a Miniature because the thing is HUGE to me and...*Looking around* Oh come on guys, I get it I am a Lalafell but seriously it is big even to you.

Finally the crown jewel to my assistance desk area is the Head of the Dreadwyrm - The incredible piece is infused with special magic so when Activated produces a replica of the incredible wing span of the dragons which is both scary but also a sight to behold if I do say so myself.

Now here we have my very lovely Aquarium, Tier 4 if you wish to know, which has my fishes swimming around quiet happily in their southern sea trimmings lay out so they always feel at home within my home (because I want everyone to feel at home). In front of the tank is my luxurious Knights Captain Desk that I had to pretty much beg Aymeric to give me permission to have his carpenters make this for me because apparently it usually “Only reserved for those power within Ishgard” but after all the work I did I think I earn the right to be an exception to that rule *giggles* Upon the desk are my two favourite Miniatures that I could get my hands on, The Sophia and The Scathath - These two were not easy to come by let me tell you and I had to let go of quite a sizeable pouch of GIL to obtain them... But if they were easy to get they wouldn’t be as special now would they? And in between them is my Triple Triad desk that allows me and my friends to play the game in the comfort of my home - Now I am not a great player but I do love getting out there and finding the cards to add to my collection and hopefully one day I will be able to take part in one of those major tournaments they have at the Gold Saucer and test my skills against some of the best. 

Now I know most people just have their bedroom on display from EVERYONE who walks into their homes to see..I however like mine to have some form of privacy in case I am sleeping so I built these area inside my apartment to house my sleeping quarters. But I am not sleeping so I suppose it is only fair that I let you, the viewers take a look inside...what do you say?

Here we go - My Bedroom, The Sleeping quarters, Where the magic happens... Whatever you like to call it this is where I go to get much needed rest after a long and hard days work. First of all, Yes that is indeed a double feather bed that you see - To be honest it is not the most luxurious looking one I have seen and a lot of people may even say its probably the blandest however this is the only one right now that allows TWO people to sleep upon it side by side and that is good for when...*coughs* friends are crashing over during the night. Complimenting the bed is my Tonberry Square rug which is simply beautiful and is really nice on my little toes when I get out of bed instead of stepping on that harden marble floor...beauty is pain my friends and I will bare it so my home feels beautiful too.

Above my bed hanging the portrait of my Sultana, Miss Nanamo Ul Namo - I do not care about anyone else opinion (although they are entitled to them) but this lady is the greatest of the 3 leaders and she does it with limited power yet a style and class unlike anyone else I know... She makes me proud to be from Ul’dah and it is an honour to serve underneath her as a part of the Immortal Flames.

My Father once told me “My Dear, Sometimes to go forward, you have to take a few step back from your current position to see the paths that you are paving for yourself” - Those words are why I decided to purchase my very own “Unending Journey” Diary table where I can go back to revisit some of my past accomplishments both to remember how far I have come over the years but to see what my future could hold.

Beyond my quarters and through my Oriential sliding door (which were too hard to get a decent picture of so deal with it) is my final room, hiding quite cleverly from eyes by my Aquarium is my bathroom in all of it glory where I can wash up before I go to bed because fighting all day and coming home through The Thanalan desert to get home makes me very, very,,,VERY sweaty let me tell you.

From the top of my Aquarium you can get a much better look at what goes on in my bathroom - The main piece is of course my Glade Bathtub which I absolutely love since the middle has seating so I can have friends over to enjoy the hottub experience whenever they like. Built into the bath is my shower which is for when I just want to get in and out because the day has been super long and although hygiene is important - The call of the bed calls with more determination than any other days.

...Oh dear lord, there is my picture of two of the weirdest yet oddly charming people that I have had the pleasure of getting to know during my travels of Eorzea, Hildibrand and Nashu. Why do I have their picture in my bathroom you ask? Because someone I have had a rough day and sometimes I am in a foul mood but when I have finished my bath I have to look at this picture and for some reason all of the memories of the wacky adventures I went on with these two just come rushing back and for some reason it always cheers me up :)

Two Sides of the Same Coin, One seeks to heal the world in her loving warmth and the other wishes to destroy everything whilst that One Punch Man Theme echoes though the background
