Góa has been gone for 8 weeks and I miss her so much :( I can't believe I'll never hold her again, that she's gone forever

Aska update:

Aska is 13.5 years old now and is starting to show signs of aging for sure. Last month she was diagnosed with heart enlargement, a leaky valve and a too slow heartbeat - but she's doing wonderfully on Vetmedin 2x a day, and it's definitely given her more power so she isn't sleeping as much and runs around the apartment happily! She goes to the cardiologist again in May to get new xrays done and monitor her heart enlargement.

Aska gets Librela injections once a month now and has for several months at this point, it's been a miracle for her and she's getting through this winter with miminal pain. She was diagnosed with arthritis in her knees a few months ago, that is just added to her already arthritic hips, spine and hocks. But on Librela she is not in pain, and I'm very grateful for that.

So overall she's doing well. She's not as healthy as she was in her prime, but all things considered she's doing very well and is very happy ✨️❤️

Just days ago I held my dog in my arms and now she's dead. This isn't fucking fair.

No words come even close to describing how much I miss her and how hard this is. Pushing through this grief feels impossible. I just want my dog back.

Aska sees a cardiologist in 5 days, after a strong murmur was heard. I'm so stressed 😭

Aska is my absolute heart and soul - I love all my dogs so much but she's The Dog. I can't handle not knowing how bad/maybe not bad her heart is

I know I'm not active much anymore, but thank you to those who stick around!!! I'm trying to become more active again but I keep forgetting. 🥲

It's hard to believe I've been on here for 13 years, thank you to those who've been here since I got Aska especially. She's 13 1/2 now. 😭

Got to photograph dogs in an unreal, dreamlike environment last weekend

Today Aska had some teeth removed and had her old lady bloodwork done. Good news is, her bloodwork didn't show any abnormalities! Bad news is, the vet heard an abnormal sound when listening to her heart so now she needs to see a cardio specialist. She has an appt in 6 weeks and I'll be found somewhere panicking until then :)
