While streets around the world sparkle with lights celebrating Christmas and the New Year, darkness engulfs Gaza. Here, the sounds of church bells and festive songs elsewhere are drowned out by the echoes of bombings and cries of despair.

Every year, the New Year symbolizes hope and renewal for many, but for us in Gaza, it is a painful reminder of our harsh reality. While people gather around bountiful tables, we gather around the remnants of our homes destroyed by war. While fireworks illuminate the skies in celebration, the skies above Gaza glow with the fire of destruction !!!!

What hurts even more is the stark contrast: how can the world celebrate the start of a promising new year while we are stripped of our basic right to live? Christmas in Gaza is not a celebration; it is a time to remember all we’ve lost and all that’s been taken from us.

Yet, amidst the darkness, we hold on to hope. We believe our voice can pierce through the international silence. We hope the world sees this contrast and remembers that peace and joy lose their meaning as long as there’s a people being silently killed !!!!!

Our suffering in Gaza is beyond words, but your actions can make a difference. If you believe in humanity and our right to live in peace, we invite you to support our fundraising campaign. Our goal is to secure a dignified life for me and my family outside the circle of war and to build a new future where we can live safely and with dignity.

Fundraisers for Gaza keep needing money, and it's pretty horrifying how little families are getting for their time spent asking for donations. With the famine as it is, and the opening of the Rafah crossing still just a rumor, these people need donations.

Sami's campaign in particular is struggling to gain traction. This is a big family, with a lot of children and old parents, currently sitting at under 1/10th of its $30,000 goal. No matter why that might be the case, the thing that matters is that we have a chance to help. This family lives in a tent with no income, and we can all help give them a chance to escape.

"I studied accounting, graduated with a high average, and worked in a chain of clothing stores that my father owned. But due to the unjust aggression, all our shops were destroyed, and we lost our source of livelihood and work completely. I was displaced from my home more than 10 times, each time trying to find a safe place, but there really is no safety here. Here we live death, fear, and loss at every moment. We love life and we always have ambitions and dreams that we hope to achieve and we are determined to achieve them as well."

Please help this beautiful family who are currently living in tents and facing a harsh and dangerous winter coming up evacuate as soon as they can, and read their story. They're 1/4 of a way to their goal. Get them closer, every little bit counts.

Fadel Aldani needs our help. He is only 23 years old, but he is going through more horrors than any of us can conceive. After being struck by shrapnel from an Israeli bombardment following his family’s FIFTH attempt to relocate to safety, Fadel was rushed to an under-functioning hospital in Gaza. They removed some of the IRON SHRAPNEL, but NOT ALL OF IT, and now he is suffering even more than before. His doctors say he needs to get to Egypt to receive emergency surgery that will cost €3,000, while the crossing from Rafah to Egypt costs €7,000.

Fadel needs OUR HELP to get to this €10,000 goal—and as lofty as this number may seem, we won’t get anywhere close if we don’t share and donate what we can. This is possible, and it starts with you!!!

This family had such high hopes for the future. Shaimaa was training to be a nurse and was travelling to America to receive treatment for burns, and now she cannot get the procedure! Mohammed was about to graduate high school before this genocide began and is now suffering an injury to his foot and burns. He also received injuries to his chest, which he needed an operation for. Since then, he has been experiencing shortness of breath and is struggling to eat, and he may need another operation soon! Please, this family desperately needs our help! Maha and her family just barely escaped death

It began with a sudden round of shooting and bombing by IOF air and ground troops. They shot machine guns into the camp where Maha and her family were staying, and began firing artillery shells and dropping bombs.

Maha and her family jumped out of their tent and ran. Five minutes later, the site of their tent was bombed. A nearby journalist captured the moment on video:

Thankfully they are alive. But everything they own was destroyed, including their new tent.

In my family, we sometimes say “when it rains, it pours”, and this is sadly true for Maha’s family.

They have faced crisis after crisis, every single day seeming to bring with it a new threat or catastrophe: Maha’s daughter Joan is ill with severe gastritis that has eaten holes in her stomach, and she requires intensive and expensive long-term treatment. Maha’s uncle is critically ill and underwent a surgery that was only partially successful. Now the family has lost everything. Again.

The family needs funds for the following:

Food and water

Treatment for Joan’s condition

Treatment for Maha’s uncle’s condition

A new tent

Clothing and shoes

Blankets

Medical evacuation when the border reopens

This is a staggering list of costs. For a family with no income, it is overwhelming. Maha is completely inconsolable. They are sheltering in the back room of a shop, having nothing but the pajamas they were wearing as they slept.
