Walking around my neighborhood wearing my sick as fuck custom T-shirt that says "I STEAL EVERY FRIENDLY CAT I MEET WITH NO REMORSE I DO IT ALL THE TIME DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK I BEEN HERE FOR YEARS KEEP THAT BEAST ENCLOSED LEST YE FACE MY LIGHTNING CAT GRASP" and smiling politely while my neighbors' indoor-outdoor cats gently trot down the sidewalk towards me as the neighbors themselves read my shirt with a growing sense of panic.

Founder’s Club
The descendants of the founders of Fiddlehead have a special place in the town and its history. They keep in contact with each other and other long-time residents, and those who move away have a habit of being drawn back home over time. First names are changeable, though last names are preferred to remain the same as their Founder. Species that are listed here are what their ancestor was, but a lot could have changed since then. There are only two slots left available, and gender/faces/ages are super open!
The Hamilton Descendant
20’s-30’s / human / any pronouns / any face
A scotsman of some renown at the time, Lucius Hamilton was a navy man who retired to Fiddlehead in 1822 with a new wife. Their deaths were never recorded, and many speculate now that perhaps they became vampires before their departure. Hunting for the lost Hamilton Crypt is a common Summer pastime for outdoorsy Fiddlehead teens who want to traipse around in the woods with friends, and the current Hamilton heir(s) may or may not have given up on chasing them off their private property.
The Greene Descendant
20’s-30’s / Witch or Psychic / any pronouns / any face
Isobel Greene was a healer who constructed the geodesic dome still in use as a haven by the local witch circle in Fiddlehead. Her descendants are incredibly open, and we welcome you to build out a single founder or work together to create a family of descendants with other players.
Check out the other founder’s descendants and other information on the site here.

✨Applications are Now Open!✨
Anatomy of the Uncanny is a new semi-private, cozy supernatural site set in the small fictional town of Fiddlehead, OR. We are focused on character-driven interpersonal conflicts and slice-of-life problems rather than life or death situations, and you can expect a new optional site event each season to help stir the pot. We want to foster a tight-knit community of writers who are interested in collaborating to make compelling stories with a 3-3-1 rating.
⦕ Membership Application ⟡ Guidebook ⟡ Tumblr ⟡ Want Ads ⦖
We have showcased our lore and setting, introduced ourselves, and talked about our inspirations on our Tumblr as part of our site buzz for our initial soft-launch, so feel free to peruse our history! We are looking forward to talking up our requests, features and fresh new skin as we open applications.
If you’re interested in Anatomy of the Uncanny, we’re now accepting rolling applications to join via Google Form. We look forward to getting to know you!
