Final Project
During the final implementation of the project, many things changed. Materially speaking, I didn't use bamboo tubes as containers because I didn't want to look too similar to Shishi-odoshi. My first choice is the mineral water bottle, but the flaw of the mineral water bottle is that chopsticks can not stabilize the rotation of the water bottle, because it is very uneven to create cracks on the mineral water bottle. So I traded my water bottle for a can of potato chips.
As for the material part of the turntable, a detachable turntable was originally envisioned, but an automatic turntable was chosen due to technical limitations. It just so happens that the purchase of this turntable comes with some free patch with different surface materials, so I can achieve a variety of surface materials with different textures without carving the turntable, and I'm going to show that in the video as well. As for display objects, in the first few attempts, I found that the sounds produced by objects such as grass and stone have no more special sound properties than those produced by glass or plastic. But the sound made by objects like glass or metal cups or LIDS coming into contact with water fits more closely with the idea of forgotten sounds, because they are more specific and have a very strong, unique texture. Therefore, in the final production stage, many glass or molded items were selected.

Construction
The structure of This instrument is mainly divided into two parts. The upper half is part like shishi-oboshi. I considered using a plastic water bottle for the bucket part, because I could also try to put some other items in the plastic water bottle to make a different sound when the water is caught. If it doesn't work well, I still use a bamboo tube to catch the water. When the tube receives a certain amount of water, the tube will fall down, so that the water in the tube will contact the objects in the lower part of the object to produce some unique sound.
The bottom half will use a motor to turn a turntable. I'm going to present this turntable in three forms. The first time I'm going to put just one turntable. The second time I will put some other objects on the turntable such as grass, stone, or even cotton. The third time turntable will not place any items, but I will carve some texture on the turntable.

Concept Development
The main reason I designed this device this way is randomness. And of course that's what makes this device special. There's a certain amount of randomness in both the upper and lower parts of the device. Because the turntable is constantly turning, the texture or object on the turntable is constantly moving, and the water on the top part will not fall until the bamboo tube is full. So when the water touches the object, it's hard for the viewer to guess that it's which one object that's making the sound without video or direct viewing. This makes the audience to pay more attention to the sound and feel the characteristics of each sound with their heart.
By combining this video with zimoun's concept of works, many different sounds made by water in different scenes appear in the video, but they are very familiar to the audience. Perhaps the audience has not experienced this scene personally, but the sound belongs to this scene subconsciously, and the sound can serve as the best medium to constantly arouse the audience's memories. This project concept hopes to integrate this concept.

Project Inspiration TWO Zimoun
We can find that Zimoun's works are very close to the people. Many of his Musical Instruments use a large number of common objects in daily life as a sound source, such as a box or a common doggy bag. Then, by piling a large number of similar sounding sources together, they shake the bags back and forth in a disorderly manner, creating a sound of collision and friction, which seems to be raining. And some like in the office. These single sounds can trigger many people to compare them with the life scenes they have experienced, and then even extend the picture, story and so on in their mind, and finally form a key to unlock these memories in their mind. The key is the sound itself. When hearing such sounds, they will unconsciously trigger these memories, even the dream moments. There is often a feeling that I have seen/heard something like this somewhere, but have not "personally" experienced it myself. I believe that many people have felt such a feeling.
The theme of Zimoun's work is to explore the possibility of sound itself. We ignore a lot of sounds in our daily life, which actually carry a lot of our memories and feelings. As an artist, it may be a good choice to use such media to express, which is more straightforward, more powerful and easier for people to perceive the intention of their expression. At the same time, the audience's feelings are influenced by their own experiences, and there will be a lot of differences between individuals, which can be said to enrich the value of the work in a sense.
Therefore, I also want to make a work that can awaken the audience's memory.

Project Inspiration ONE Shishi-odoshi
Shishi-odoshi is an important inspiration for the instrument, both in terms of shape and structure. Shishi-odoshi was originally used as a timekeeper in Japan, but is now mostly used as a bamboo decoration. It was originally used when people needed to be ready to do something, to estimate the time and water to make the bamboo bucket fall and tap to remind people. Later, it was discovered that the flow system was very unstable. The reason is that they are directly quoted from mountain springs or streams, simply said that the water is fast when the time is large, water is slow when the time is small. So Shishi-odoshi started to be used more for decoration. It is the Shishi-odoshi instability that reminds me of the concept of randomness. Let the water touch different substances randomly instead of controlling the water, let the audience feel it personally instead of watching it systematically, and use the sound as a medium to touch the audience's memory constantly and randomly.

Project 2 Conception Introduction
This project mainly wants to explore the characteristics and texture of sound produced by water when it touches different objects. This YouTube video shows dozens of different kinds of water making different sounds in different environments, suggesting that water has different sound properties when it comes into contact with different objects or environments. For example, slamming the water with your palm will make a clear sound, but if you put your hand in the water and stir it slowly, it will make a completely different sound. It is because of the unique properties of water that it has a lot of uniqueness in terms of sound. So I wanted to design an instrument that explores or demonstrates the unique sound properties of water when it touches different objects.

SCHIZOPHONIA
Last week, I had a group discussion about the significance of SCHIZOPHONIA, so I think SCHIZOPHONIA can be well represented in this project. In this project, instead of putting the recorded sound directly into the soundtrack, I'm going to do a second recording just like we did in Exercise 2 but not as many times. I don't think the audience listening to this project will realize that this is a recorded audio.
The Reversal
To make this look better, there will be two environments in this audio. The first one is the main content of the audio which is the Morning Sound Vlog, and the second one is going to be an office environment. There will be a few places in this project where there will be a sudden keyboard tapping sound, which would be very strange without any explanation, so I will add a voice-over at the end of the audio: Is that your sound vlog? So in an office environment it would be one person in the office showing his Morning Sound Vlog to another person. This design is what I think fascinating about SCHIZOPHONIA, because people rarely think about whether the audio they hear is a second recording. They were still hard to identify after adding some sound effects that would be found in other environments.

The Story
I wanted to construct a story with some very strong visual sounds, usually a knock on the door or a cooking sound, because these sounds clearly refer to one thing. So I can tell a whole story without the narrator and background music. The story I want to describe is a moring sound Vlog. The story will be the journey of a man in the morning but recorded only by sound. Here are the sounds that will be used in chronological order
Keyboard sound
Alarm clock sound
Closet opening sound
The sound of getting dressed - consists of multiple sounds
The sound of brushing teeth
Downstairs sounds
Tea-making sounds - Made up of multiple sounds
Making/eating breakfast - consists of multiple voices
Go out -- Multiple voices

Sound effects add a layer of complexity to the film. But can a movie be made using only sound effects, without any visual effects? The answer is yes. Produced by MarinTV in California, the short film does not use any pictures or video footage and relies on visual sound effects such as knocking on doors, alarms and even gunshots to complete the story. Since these sound effects often point to a very representative action or action, when the sound effects are spliced together into a complete audio, the audience will subconsciously associate the action when hearing the sounds, so when the sound effects of some action or action are put together, a complete sound story is created.

The exercise lasted almost a full week, and usually I would record recordings from the other person in the evening, and since the 4th recording, the whole recording effect has begun to muffled, but this situation has not become more exaggerated. In later recordings, many ambient sounds are recorded. But the wonderful thing is that compared to the vague recording, the clear ambient sound seems to be the subject, such as the clicking of the mouse and keyboard. These voices immediately make people understand what I am doing at the moment.

The red dotted line was my track when I recorded walking. This piece of audio was recorded near my home, and the whole audio was also my route home. As the audio showed at the beginning, many cars could be heard speeding and horns, and as I kept moving forward, the noise faded away. You can hear people skateboarding, people walking after dinner, and people walking their dogs. At the end of the audio, you can get to the children who are playing in the corridor. After putting on the headphones to carefully stop the sound of this journey, the biggest feeling I have about this audio is that even if it is a short distance, different people are busy with their own things. When they are still outside the community, people are still busy with their own things, but after entering the community, it is full of people who have ended a busy day and continue to enjoy the time to relax
