Sitting in this empty room, I keep on thinking why? These much pain you have given, like tons of steel thrown into my soul. I remember the last words you have said- "You are my everything, I love you"- Liar!
You planned it properly, to kill everything inside me. You deceived me with your kind and loving words, You skillfully used my love as your weapon- You held me in your arms just to leave me in the dark.
My soul screamed louder every night, My silent tears flows endlessly- My heart grew numb with each passing day, My life will never be the same.
You have forsaken me and left me without nothing, But I know I will pass through this...

To my little BIG bro- RANDEL...
Words are hard to describe the feelings.Yet writing down how much I miss you, seems to give me more tranquility. Writing to let go, to give this all a place. It will never heal, it will never go away - But just learning to give it time and space. I can tell you how much I love you and how much you mean to me, I know you know all of this and telling you again and again won't change anything - YOU ARE GONE NOW. Sitting in this empty room right now- makes me want to scream and ask why? Why you didn't fight for your life? What happen bro? "Ang daya mo naman bro eh..." Words I kept on repeating on your photo while i was lighting 3 candles for you. It was so sudden- But what else do I have to say? We just have to get used of it and learn take care of ourselves now. Before I used to say- its okay, coz you are always there- no matter our differences are, you have always been there for me...
I love you bro... May you rest in peace! Till we meet again..

“I tried to forget everything bout you,
All the footprints you left behind,
I have avoided every memry,
But it wasn’t that easy,
NO NOT AT ALL –
It’s like trying to fly with no wings on my back,
It’s like breathing through salty waters
And it’s as hard as avoiding rain on a rainy day.
I tried and still trying-“

In the eyes of a child...
Let me tell you a story about Toto, a 10 year old boy from Tondo, because of a great need for his sick mother & for his younger siblings, he was forced to steal- so he could buy food & medicine for his mom. One day, he was caught for snatching a handbag and was turned over to the Local Police. With no proper SOP, Toto was given a criminal record & was placed in the same cell where other adult criminals are also held… In a 3rd world country like the Philippines, poverty is the main & top most problem. The difficulty of landing in a decent job forced some, if not most of us Filipinos to do unlawful acts. On the other hand, because of irresponsible parents- numerous children are seen out in the streets doing illicit feat, and because of young conscientiousness for their sick parents & younger siblings they are constrained to such illegal things. According to a study- in the Philippines, there are about 20,000 children who are currently in jail, mingling in the same cell with drug dealers, murderers, rapists, and so on and so forth. Isn’t this fact alarming? How is the Government coping with this problem? Does a child has to be charged guilty of merely stealing a bread for his starving siblings? Does a child have to be charged guilty for stealing a few bucks for his sick mom? Inside the jail- does a child deserved to be with real criminals already found guilty by the law? Does a child has to be punished with more hunger, beatings, physical and sexual abuse, miserable living conditions and the “mentoring” of hardened criminals? These petty acts from a child can still be corrected if only proper SOPs are done by local Officials. These children should be guided into a better outlook in life- into a brighter future, rather than placed in jail and mingle with notorious criminals that can further urge their young hearts to do cruel things. As quoted by our National hero, Jose Rizal- Children are the hope of the nation. How can that be? If in their young hearts- anger lays because of life’s circumstances. As I was writing these thoughts of mine, I honestly don’t have any idea how to help these little angels, I am not materialistically rich- but I was hoping that through this epistle (if that’s how to call this) I could reached out to people not to be so hard with children like Toto, for I am sure that if one had a choice before being born in this world- A child like Toto will not choose to have a poor family, with sick mom, irresponsible dad, and siblings to feed. On your way home, why not take a minute of your time to watch a child on the street, what do you see? How did you feel by simply staring at a child? Don’t be blind, coz I tell you - that into a child’s eye I saw a better explanation of what the real denotation of life is. Into a child’s eye I saw the real soldier – the real fighter. Like Toto, early marks of hard toil was seen in his face & into his young heart early wounds are bleeding. Let us do our part- share a smile or a penny, or a bread, but above all share your love & blessings to children like Toto- let us try to help in our own simple ways, for in these simple things we can put a big difference- search in your heart for a means —COZ I JUST DID!

What do you want from me? Do you want my love? Or do you want my friendship? You confuse me through what you say- you say you love me but don’t seem to care. Why don’t we just be friends? Nothing more nothing less, perhaps you have feelings for me but why don’t you show it? Why must you hurt me this way? Maybe I do like you but I just want to know- do you feel the same?

"People think a soulmate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soulmate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A true soulmate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soulmate forever? NAH. Too painful. Soulmates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave. A soulmate’s purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master..." — Elizabeth Gilbert

"Peace of mind in Daily Life"
In a world where stress, strain, rush and restlessness abound, peace of mind is of paramount importance. It is a treasure that everyone desires, but only very few know how to gain it, and even fewer really do something to get it.
With all the advancement of science, no remedy has yet been found for lack of inner peace. Often, even when being in good financial condition and in good health, people have no peace of mind, which only proves that peace of mind does not depend on external conditions or on any scientific or technical progress. The solution has to come from within, not through external means.
It is not always possible to change external conditions, but you can certainly change your inner attitude and learn to stop allowing outside influences affect your moods and states of mind.
Peace of mind is not something to be found only on the Himalayas, by monks and hermits. It is attainable here and now, wherever you are, irrespective of your external circumstances, since it is an inner state, and is independent of circumstances and external conditions.
Peace manifests, when the incessant inner chatter of the mind slows down. When it appears, anxiety, stress, worries, fear, mental and emotional restlessness, nervousness and impatience disappear. It is a state of inner calmness, tranquility and serenity, which brings forth happiness, tolerance, inner poise, inner balance and self-control.
Peace of mind is an acquired skill, which requires time, practice and perseverance to develop, just like any other skill. With the right training, and with desire, motivation, patience and perseverance, you are sure to attain at least some degree of inner peace.
Peace of mind will enable you to manifest calmness and tranquility in your daily life, and also in difficult and trying situations. It will allow you to display emotional and mental detachment whenever needed, and thereby avoid being too affected by other people’s words, feelings and behavior. It will also enable you to control your reactions and become a happy, patient, tolerant and open-minded human being.
There are various techniques for gaining peace of mind, and following and implementing them, even for just a few minutes a day, will make a noticeable difference in your life, and you will soon become aware of positive inner changes within you.
You don’t have wait for the perfect circumstances to start working on gaining it. You can start here and now, regardless of the kind of life you are living, and irrespective of your circumstances. This might require some effort on your part, but it is a worthwhile project and the rewards are great.
You can continue living your own life, without changing your external condition, continue with your job and relationships, and yet work on attaining inner peace. This is done in a gradual manner, by learning to change your mental attitude, developing inner strength and inner detachment, through meditation and through other means.
***REMEZ SASSON writes on positive thinking, motivation, self-improvement, peace of mind, spiritual growth and meditation. He is the author of the book "Peace of mind in Daily Life", which is a practical guide to gaining inner peace.
