After all, it's all about what works now and looks good in the garden, right? In a nutshell, yes and no. Organic gardening prioritizes the total health of the soil and plants, so although synthetic chemical fertilizers may get the job done today, organic fertilizers ensure the garden's health tomorrow.

6 Easy Plants To Grow In Shade Gardens
Tall buildings, boundary walls, and overhanging trees cast a pall over many little garden spaces. Some are completely shaded all of the time, some have a brief burst of sunlight before reverting to shadow, and several are partially shady.
Virginia BlueBells : One of the  best embodiments of Spring is Virginia Bluebells! Its common name comesfrom the gorgeous blue/pink clusters of flowers that hang down, which resemble bells. Both full and partial shade are suitable for them. Although Virginia blue bells are native to the Midwest and Eastern United States, they thrive in most home gardens. Plant blue bells behind trees or  in other shaded areas since they require regular moisture.
May Apple Plants: May apples, scientifically called as Podophyllum, is     a natural perennial that can be found in both moist and dry woodlands     throughout Virginia and eastern North America. It's a shade-loving plant     that's great for ground cover. The leaves, which resemble miniature     umbrellas, emerge from a single stem and can be single or double. The     blooms, which are white and rather gorgeous, are generally concealed     beneath the huge leaves, which can grow to be a foot in diameter. Mayapple  is most commonly found in the wild under deciduous trees, where it spreads by rhizomes to form enormous colonies. And that is exactly where it is and     how it behaves in my yard.
Trilliums: Trillium, often known as wakerobin or birthroot, is a genus of roughly 25 spring-flowering perennial herbs in  the Melanthiaceae family that is native to North America and Asia. Many Trillium species are grown in wildflower gardens. Trilliums prefer rich soil that is maintained evenly moist, but once established, they can grow without any more care.
Columbine Flowers: Columbines, also known as Granny's Bonnet, are bell-shaped, spurred flowers that come in a variety of hues ranging from light pastels to vibrant reds, yellows, oranges, purples, and  bi-colors. There are more than 70 different species! The leaves have a lace look to them. Columbine, despite their delicate appearance, is a tough and tenacious plant that is deer-resistant and drought-tolerant.
Lily of the Valley Plant: Lily of the valley is a low-growing (6 to 12 inch tall), spreading perennial that blooms in late April every year. Lily of the valley blooms are bell-shaped and occur in a  cluster on one side of a leafless stalk, lasting three weeks. The leaves are found at the plant's base. The blossoms, which are delicate white or  soft pink in colour, are quite fragrant.
Lady Fern Plants: Lady fern plants are probably the best for finely textured leaves in a shady to sunny garden or a naturally planned forested section in a garden. In a damp, partially shaded position, lady ferns are dependable and easy to cultivate. They increase the volume of the garden due to their wide base.
As you move from one place to the next, your lawn and garden will experience a variety of growing circumstances. Shade gardens are wonderful complements to any garden layout because they provide large spaces with plantings that are both beautiful and easy to maintain, making them a great foundation for your landscape.

The Five Things You Need to Know About Air Plants
Airplants, collectively known as Tillandsias, are native to the West Indies, Mexico, and much of Central America, as well as Colombia, Argentina, and eastern Brazil. They are also widely grown and distributed in tropical and subtropical states such as California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas.
Air plants are epiphytes. A plant that grows on another plant, such as a tree branch or bark, but is not parasitic is known as an epiphyte. Rather than absorbing nutrients, they use their roots to anchor themselves. The nutrients they need come from the air, rain, and dew.
Plants of the Tillandsia genus (the various species of airplants are collectively known as Tillandsia genus) can be found in a variety of climates and environments, including humid rainforests, high cloud forests, deserts, coasts, and mountain slopes. They have adapted to thrive in these sometimes harsh environments because they are found in such a wide range of climates.
After flowering, most plants produce Pups, which are offsets that grow around the base of the plant.Plants that reach maturity will eventually produce a large number of pups, continuing the life cycle. If the Pups are allowed to grow together, they will form beautiful Air Plant clusters.
Air plants represent creativity and freedom. They also represent freedom because of their ability to thrive outside of the soil, making them ideal for people who move around a lot or travel a lot.
Air plants are slow-growing  plants. Air plants that are grown from seeds take at least a month to  germinate, and then 4-8 years to mature into larger plants
Air plants come in more than 550 different varieties. While each variety grows and reproduces in a similar manner, the diversity among species is astounding. The uppermost leaves of Tillandsias turn bright red when they begin to flower, and most produce tubular flowers with bright violet petals that are absolutely stunning.

How to Care for Outdoor Plants Indoors?
Be it the onset of winters or not having a proper garden space, we all have some outdoor plants online which we have to keep inside the warmth and the comfort of our homes. But, There's a lot you can do to ensure your house plants have the best chance of surviving the winter.
Prepare the area you’ll be putting them in: If you're going to put your plants next to a window, make sure to clean any neighbouring windows so that as much light as possible gets through. Plants should be placed a few feet away from windows, rather than right next to them, to avoid sunburn on leaves. In addition to preparing the space, make sure your pets (if you have any) are safe. Poisonous plants include azaleas, lilies, oleander, daffodils, lily of the  valley, sago palm, and tulips.
Taking (extra) care of plants when they’re inside: You may foster new growth that is more adapted to life on the inside and regulate their size by trimming back your plants somewhat as you bring them in. Before taking your plant kids inside, keep an eye out for bugs that can cling to them. While moving them inside, you can debug them or re-pot some of the plants. With less light, plants drink less, so let the soil dry out before watering again.
You should keep your plants away from any other houseplants for a few weeks after bringing them indoors, so you can examine and ensure that your debugging efforts were successful. It's easier to treat just the plants you've just relocated rather than all of them if you miss any pests.
In the winter, dwellings are more likely to be closed up, and dust is more likely to be distributed through the air. Dusty leaves promote disease and inhibit houseplants from absorbing sunlight, so they're a horrible idea. Every month or so, lightly brush dust off the leaves of your plants. You can use a little damp towel  or a clean paintbrush dipped in water to do this.
Just take a deep breath, and spread love to your plant babies and we’re sure they’ll return the same!

Are Air Plants Safe for Pets?
Before we answer this question, let's learn what exactly are air plants. Air plants are typically small, easy to grow, and do not require soil. Air plants use scales on their leaves to absorb nutrients and water from the air, as the name implies. Their scientific name being Tillandsia, are native in the forests, mountains of Central America.
Air plants come in over 400 different varieties, none of which are toxic to humans or animals. So your dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and reptiles like geckos and bearded dragons are safe around these plants. As a result, they make excellent houseplants for pet owners.
However, because of the shape and texture of their leaves, they could still be choking hazards. Because tillandsias have sharp, pointed leaves that can cause choking, it's best if you keep them out of their reach.
Since cats and dogs are as inquisitive as a child, they might play around or nibble off some leaves from the plant. You need not worry if you haven't ingested moss with the air plants. When they nibble off the leaves, you simply prune or trim them  and take a little bit of extra care (spraying water or placing them in a well lit area). And, in no time, you will be able to see leaves being able to grow back on the plants!
There are various air plants that can be found online besides the ones mentioned here which can serve the dual purpose of decorating the environment and being completely safe for your pets!

Alternatives to Plastic in Gardening
As Paul McCartney said, "There must be a better way to make the things we want, a way that doesn’t spoil the sky, or the rain or the land." As we are preserving and growing a piece of land in the form of our plants, we must, at the same time, try to make sure that we are not harming the earth.
Avoiding the use of plastic while gardening is not a cakewalk, but it is not that difficult too. There are various alternatives that can be used in place of plastic pots in gardening. Non-plastic alternatives to tools, plant pots, and other materials are becoming increasingly popular. Materials such as coir (made from coconut husks), wood chips, rice husks, and seaweed are used to make biodegradable pots.
Biodegradable pots come in a variety of forms. The first are those that last a few months and can be planted directly in the soil, where they quickly decompose and allow plant roots to grow through them into the soil. Another variation of the same is made with bamboo, rice husks, and lasts for a few years before being tossed into your home compost heap. Besides biodegradable pots, one can use lovely ceramic pots.  They come in various designs and you can choose one that perfectly fits the mood of your house!  A large number of nurseries encourage the consumers to return the plastic pots which they can reuse or recycle.
Moreover, while ordering plants online, it is always a good idea to check with the supplier to make sure the plants are wrapped in paper rather than plastic packaging. Alternatives to plastic-handled tools and garden equipment, such as those with wooden or metal handles, are available. Rather than buying a plastic compost bin, choose or make a wooden one, and label your plants with wooden or recycled plant labels.
Taking good care of existing plastic can help you avoid having to buy more because it can be reused for several years. Plant pots can be reused for new seedlings, cuttings, and plants, or they can be donated to friends, neighbours, or charities. Extra pots may be appreciated by schools, allotment societies, or gardening clubs.
While dealing with plastic in gardening is always a good idea to keep the three Rs of waste management in mind, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Reduce the purchase of plastic, and try to reuse and recycle the plastic tools whionlineh you already have!

Succulents require approximately six hours of direct sunlight per day, depending on the type of succulent. In direct sunlight, newly planted succulents can burn, so gradually expose them to full sun or provide shade with a sheer curtain. Succulents can be like sunflowers, they tend to lean toward the sun, rotating them will help them stand straight.

Numerous plants and flowers can survive without any direct sunlight, while others require varied degrees of sun and light exposure to thrive. One plant species, for example, may just require a small amount of sunshine each day but would not be able to survive in full darkness all of the time.
