what type of person the signs should be with
aries: patient. i can’t think of a better word to describe what i’m about to say. as an aries, without realizing, you are not ready to open up so fast. it could take months for your lover(s) to get anything out of you emotionally. it takes you a long time to feel comfortable confiding in anyone, because you’re cautious, which is fine. patience is key when it comes to you.
taurus: loyal. you need someone who will stick by you and choose you regardless of any circumstance. who will be your true friend when things get tough and sticky. someone who wants to be there, who wants to love you and stick by you and never wavers.
gemini: commitment. you need someone who looks at you and knows they want to be with you for a long time. who wants to grow, cherish, love every single moment with you. you don’t want someone who’s only around sometimes, you want someone who wants to be around all the time, for years to come.
cancer: reassuring. you get scared. you get scared that people are going to walk away and not choose you and leave you hanging. you need someone who, without a doubt, will always give you those words of reassurance when those thoughts pop into your head.

Energy Sources During a Set
When you are lifting and performing a set, your body is using different types of fuel as the intensity or reps are manipulated. The energy system corresponding with the reps below being only accurate if the last rep is failure or 1-2 reps shy of failure.
Reps 1-3: You are using the creatine phosphate system
Reps 4-15: You are using the anaerobic system
Reps 15+: You are using the aerobic system
The Creatine Phosphate System
Your body produces something called “creatine” as a natural mechanism on a day to day basis. You have probably heard of this as a supplement if you are in the fitness or athletic community space. Supplementation of creatine is key if you want to maximize your performance as it is the most researched and safe supplement out there. You can also find creatine in meat and fish, but never the amount you would need to truly see its benefits; especially for increasing power and strength in the 1-3 rep range. Stay tuned to find out more about creatine in future blogs.
The Anaerobic System
In a rep range of 4-15, you are starting to tap into your anaerobic system. This system is also used in sprinting and a “time under tension” (TUT) or time you are exercising is around 15 seconds up to a minute. At this intensity, a great amount of sugar (glucose/carbohydrate) is being used, so go ahead and carb load for this intensity (just don’t overdo it)!
The Aerobic System
At reps of 15+, or TUT over around 1 minute, you are using the aerobic system. As the distance in an endurance event increases, you are forced to use more of your aerobic system, unless you are weird and just sprint and stop frequently. At this intensity, contrary to popular belief, fat is your best friend. Fat is your friend when you go the distance (or do lots of reps) because of fat being slow digesting, giving a steady state energy longer than carbs can provide.
