like especially when you consider Lila's new akumatization gimmick is her ability to sound as if multiple people are talking at once, and Hangfire's whole schtick is his ability to mimic other people-

i just watched the first episode of miraculous season 6 and i was thinking about how lila relates to hawk moth (who she's replacing as a villain, essentially) and also how she relates to hangfire and count olaf bc asoue and atwq have been rotting my brain lately.

basically how hangfire and lila are less sympathetic and comedic and could be considered to be "worse" villains than hawk moth and count olaf. and how hawk moth and count olaf have more of a connection to the *main* characters of the series than lila and hangfire do.

i don't know if that makes sense lol, i made a whole slideshow about it (bc i have no life) that i might post here later if i feel like it.

had a dream that atwq got an adaptation and in one scene Lemony and Moxie are staking out a place/spying on a suspect, and Moxie was using a newspaper for her disguise like this:

The newspaper is basically unreadable except for the very clear date printed on the front that said 1873, and the theorists went wild online trying to finally piece together the time period of atwq/asoue until some smug schmuck from the writing team posted and basically went

"Oh, the newspaper Moxie holds in this episode is from the archive, she just borrowed it to use for the investigation they were working on. That paper wasn't published in the year Snicket arrived to Stain'd by the Sea. And that edition had a typo."

and then they sat back in their chair and did a little laugh because spreading disinformation is fun

Cleo is a freaking celebrity who is awful at hiding her true identity

Jake would accidentally talk about some important and secret case information while cooking, get overheard, and be dead by the next morning

Ornette would spell out her own name for you if you asked nicely

Associates who might have a shot:

Lemony (Because everyone just assumes that's a fake name)

Pip & Squeak (I don't recall the rules of the Death Note entirely but I'm fairly sure Kira would have to spell Pecuchet and Bouvard, and there's no guarantee he'll learn either of those names bc they always go by Pip and Squeak)

Ellington (maybe??? She does have a fake alias but then again it's an anagram of her full name)

Kellar (his internal overthinking monologue could put Kira's to shame)

Qwerty (honorable mention, technically not an associate, but his chances of survival lie in the same vein as Lemony's)

If there ever is an ATWQ show, I think it should alter one of the major aspects of the books, which is the limited narrative.

Of course, it'll mostly follow Lemony's perspective, but it should also give us insight into other character's lives.

Show me a flashback of Ellington and her father, who is happily making dinner in his socks and making her laugh with his silly animal impressions. Show me an Armstrong Feint who was once seemed like a genuinely kind man.

Show me Moxie Mallahan staring down a nurse who's good with a knife; was she getting scared later, or getting scared right then and there?

Show me Pip and Squeak driving around intriguing individuals who give interesting tips. Show me Jake and Cleo spending time together when the world is still, even if it only lasts for a moment.

Show me Kellar and Sharon Haines receiving a threatening letter demanding they help a treacherous man. Show me Kellar's inner turmoil between doing what is right or doing what will save the person he cares about.

Show me Kit's heist and how it failed, and if maybe Lemony would've been able to change anything had he been there. Show me Ornette crafting two Bombinating Beast statues, unsure of everything but placing her trust into her noble friends. Show me Lizzie finding out too much of the mystery that it made her a problem for the Inhumane Society.

Show me what happens to Stain'd by the Sea after Lemony leaves.

Snicket's version of events have already been explained. Let the others have their chance to share their side of the story.

the way moxie stays positive and naive and maintains her black and white worldview despite it all because if she didn’t she would have to face how unpleasant her childhood really is…. she would have to accept that maybe her mom’s never coming back for her and what sort of mother abandons her child…… she would have to accept that it’s wearing on her to look after her father and be a journalist and what sort of father lets his 13 year old daughter do everything…… if she stopped maintaining her belief that everything will work out in the end, if she let grey morality into her worldview, then she wouldn’t be able to believe that her own family situation would work out in the end. then what? she’d be left in a dusty lighthouse filled with old newspapers and wilting basil and a dad who won’t get out of a bed and a mom in the city who will never send for her?

Reasons why Book 2 is the best:

It had the best artstyle in my opinion

It was the perfect balance of vibes (wasnt too heavy and introductions are over so we get to see them actually being a fun group)

Leila had such a good story

Also more peek into emerald ring + bootlegging tunnels were rlly cool

The morse code?! It was so fun to decipher!!

The misfits were so sweet and fun

Carter and Leila bonding

The Vernons as a slay family

Also the one book where Mr Vernon wasnt rlly making me question his morales

Best artstyle (repeating pt ik but LOOK AT HOW PRETTY THE KIDS LOOKED IN THAT BOOK)
