After having a wonderful time in Hawaii in both Kauai with immediate family and Oahu with extended family for a big reunion, I am now home and ready to start radiation this afternoon. I'm praying and believing that God will give me a smooth and quick recovery so that I can still attend university in the fall but this is not what Dr's would expect from my previous experiences with radiation. Prayers, positive energy, or whatever you can give are very much appreciated to come against the tumor itself, to keep the nerve calm and unagitated, and for the rest of my body not to be adversely affected by the radiation. I'm ready to see miracles happen and surprise my Dr's. I feel so blessed to have been able to spend time with family and experience the incredible wealth of natural beauty this world has to offer before this unpleasant bit of my summer. But it just reinforced that though it's not painless, there are so many meaningful relationships and so much beauty to live for (at North Shore, Oahu, Hawaii)
