why doesn't anyone ever listen when i say, i don't like surprises. what's unclear about that statement? what about that statement makes someone think i would like to be surprised and that i will enjoy it.

my brain says just don’t go visit my family this weekend, just don’t get on the plane tonight.

but my heart knows my mom will sob and say i “ruined her birthday”

my gut knows this weekend is going to suck and i’m going to be upset the whole time and my family is going to gaslight and manipulate me and most likely misgender/dead name me a time or 2 as well.

i feel like Elliots song got a lot of hate in Euphoria, but i think it was really…. touching. It was very clearly about Elliot’s and Rues relationship over the time they knew each other. I agree it was a little long… but the song itself was beautiful for their moment.
