A bag with millions of dollars has gone missing, and the chase is on to find the lost loot.

Have a Nice Day is set in an urban Chinese city, where gangsters, opportunists and lovers are all searching for the missing treasure while also questioning the true purpose of their hunt. More than just an action-packed crime caper, the film creates a seemingly lawless world where the signs of capitalism and the talk of socialism casually intermingle and is populated with characters who possess dark humour and philosophical wit. Is snatching the bag of missing money the ultimate measure of success? Or is the taste of freedom what is really being pursued but being left unsaid?

Writer and director Liu Jian’s ultra-realistic animation style submerges viewers into a gritty reality, rendering the film one of the best attempts to portray contemporary China.

also as a side note - a lot of people are trying to sow division between the asian and black community and it's very important to me that we do not let white supremacy divide us - we have a long, rich history of solidarity during the civil rights movement which has been buried in order to prop up the model minority myth, and the dismantling of anti-blackness in the asian community is integral work to be done - solidarity and collective resistance (and revolution) is the only way to move forward

Well this is fucking weird 😀 I know that Asian cultural appropriation doesn’t get as much attention as african/ african American appropriation but I just want y’all to think from our point of view. If you saw a white person “modernizing” your African dress, your cornrows, your culture and making it a trend or whatnot (and I know it’s happened to the black communities forever so it’s already been known to happen) but you’d be mad and rightfully so. Same situation here. This is weird and appropriation and unacceptable in my eyes. Some weak link Asians might say “oh I’m Asian and I don’t mind!” But that’s the same as some black people saying “oh I’m black and he can say the N word!” Anyways. Just yelling into the void because this white girl decided being “quirky” and “unique” with our traditional dress was the way to go. It’s not !!
