ALRIGHT. SO. THE ANOMALY ON BOARD.

In Avid's episode, we finally get a flashback of what happened on the ship (though I'm sure not all of it)

So, Avid is sleeping in his janitor's closet when he's woken up by (presumably) meteors crashing into the ship. He goes out to see if everyone's okay, but is met with

.... Are those Olm vines? Most likely yes, though I suppose there's a small chance they could be unrelated. Also, Avid has milk in his inventory, which might be strange? Unsure.

Now what strikes me is that Avid does not seem to recognize what this is. In the latest Avid Adventures video, Adventures Avid (AAvid) flies off in the Misadventures rocket up to space. AAvid absolutely knows what these vines are, and that they're bad news. Also, he'd know that he's probably the one who put them there, due to Olm possessing him and making build a lot of architecture gore, which always includes these red vines. It is very strange that in this intro, AAvid does not recognize them.

Unless, it isn't him. There's a theory some friends have thought of, and, well, there's aliens in space. Who's to say one didn't sneak onto the ship and take AAvid's form? Still unsure right now, but it's definetly more of a possibility to consider now.

Back to the scene, Avid keeps walking down the hall and ends up stepping on one of the vines on the floor. It damages him, and this triggers more vines to start growing from further down the hall. The growth starts to get closer, and aaaaAAAAJIAIGJIJJJ GUSHES ABOUT HOW COOL THE COMMAND BLOCK ARE AAAAAAAAA

With the fire and the vines, Avid runs for it, finding himself in front of the very literal, Only Escape Pod

There's a bunch of redstone on the floor in front of it. Which could mean absolutely nothing (narrows my eyes at the bits of red inside the pod in the intro animation).

In the land of Misadventures, Avid wakes up. He's not concerned at all about the dream. "Or whatever that was!"
