On why I’m hardly on Tumblr anymore

If anyone’s been wondering, I’ve been finding less and less reason to come here.

My race, my sex, my gender identity matching that sex, my sexual preferences, my religion; all are, according to the majority of users it seems, wrong. I can’t find things I like without them being plagued, infected with hatred. Anger. A desire to be right so strong that anything becomes a political issue.

There’s a certain need(?) to be righteous, to be the person who is right, correct, most postmodern and with what society currently seems to be good. Seemingly innocuous things are suddenly statements by those who do them or refuse to.

This is the most close-minded site I’ve found. You’d probably find more self awareness on Reddit, home of Atheism and The Donald, than on this site.

While I’ve met some truly lovely people on here, the number of truly horrible people far outweighs them.

I don’t think I’ll delete this or anything, but I don’t see myself doing much on here in the future.

I don’t mind if mutuals want to keep in touch somehow but I don’t know what the best way is
