Sorry but it would actually be very stupid to legalize prostitution considering human trafficking rises in countries where it’s legal. The estimates for prostitutes who want to stop have remained at about 70-95% since studies of this began in the 70s. It’s very irresponsible to try and normalize something that has is so detrimental to every woman involved in it. I think you should read more about the sex industry and look into more first hand accounts of prostitutes before you start making claims that aren’t even true. I can compile a list of posts and other various media about the topic if you’re interested.

so you're suggesting it should stay illegal? you are looking at the problem the wrong way and offering no solution at all. I've done research on this topic and legalizing it is the best solution. it's like you're saying politicians will always be involved in some kind of corruption maybe we don't need democracy. how does that sound? legalizing it means that you have a foundation to work on, of course it won't end every problems right away but at least it's under the law

You’re right anon, people do need to stop putting idols on a pedestal and pretending that they’re innocent. We don’t know them and their image is curated to fit consumer needs, so obviously we can’t go making assumptions about them or seriously 100% believing what tarot readings say. But saying “men will be men” and that prostitution is a “consensual business” is just insane. Bad men need to be held accountable for their actions. Prostitution may be common but that doesn’t make it okay. A majority of the time women who become prostitutes do so because they have been sexually abused and believe it is all they are good for, are being sex trafficked, or started doing it for a bit of extra money and were trapped. If something goes wrong with a client there is no way for those women to get help. If they go to the police they will be arrested for prostitution. There is no way to get justice for themselves. The men who use prostitutes or other sex workers are awful people and they need to be held accountable for their actions. If you can’t seduce someone and have to drug, force, or pay someone to have sex with you then you are a pathetic person and you don’t deserve to be called a man. Don’t get me wrong, I respect sex workers and they have every right to do with their body as they see fit. But as long as there is a demand for sex work and no regulations in place there will always be the potential for abuse. There are ways to do sex work safely, like only fans, but there are no regulations or rights in place to protect sex workers in Korea. So there is no way to guarantee that what goes on behind closed doors is safe. Once someone gets into the sex industry it is almost impossible to get out. Because once you get your life back on track and get a job, if your boss finds out about what you did in the past, your life is ruined and you have to go back to sex work. Anyways… I’m taking these readings with a grain of salt because obviously no one can know if these things are actually true if they don’t personally know the idols. Just because someone on the internet says something doesn’t make it true. Sorry for the long rant :)

agree for the most part but just because someone is paying for sex doesn't mean they are pathetic. this kind of shaming are part of the reason prostitution can't be legalized. instead of judging anyone involved, we should normalize it, talk about it openly, raise awareness, and address where all the problems lie.
